Brice reviewed the system, determined that the problem was Spectrum's router switching between 2G and 5G; Spectrum locked the user out of the configuration. He replaced the router with a Netgear router we both agreed upon, turned off the "smart switch" function and configured each channel so it didn't overlap with any of my neighbors' WiFi signals . No calls have been dropped since!
