 + 1 moreWe wanted to remodel our kitchen at our lakehouse. The cabinets were old seventies style wood and there was ugly old paneling on the walls and furdown. We priced new cabinets at a large hardware store in the area, but they could not deal with the custom aspects of the furdown or move electrical switches that needed to be moved. I found Charles' ad in our local newspaper and called him. He gave me references and everyone loved his work. He suggested, since we were happy with the layout of the kitchen, to leave the base of the cabinets in place and paint and replace the doors. I wanted a glazed antiqued look and Charles did that himself and did a great job. He was very diligent in being there when the countertops were done because we could not be there. He was very responsive. I also wanted a very specific glass tile backsplash and he did executed it very well. All and all, I am thoroughly satisfied with the kitchen, It is incredible.
Description of Work: Charles was the general contractor for our kitchen remodel. He and his team did the tear out, removed old paneling and sheet-rocked, replaced the appliances, painted and glazed the old cabinet frames and new cabinet doors and did the tile backsplash. The only thing he and his team did not do was the granite countertops, but he was there for the installation to make sure it went right. We were able to do the entire kitchen remodel for under $15,000. We did not replace the cabinets but replaced all the doors. Charles and his team painted and glazed the cabinets and did an excellent job. I chose glass tile for the backsplash and he did a great job with a fairly complex installation. The kitchen looks awesome. He worked over the weekend to get it completed. I would definitely use Charles again.
