USI REMODELING

I spoke with one of the 2 owners and described what I'm looking for in a kitchen remodel. He was downright rude, condescending and unprofessional during the entire conversation. I should have hung up on him. Some of the questions he asked me was - what's the square footage of my home (what did that have to do with kitchen remodel? ... read on to find out) and also if I'm talking with other remodelers. Well, if he's in the business for so long, then he should know people shop around and get quite a few quotes before they decide on who they're picking to do the final project. To my answer of the square footage, he responded "oh so the price range on how much you want to spend on the kitchen will not be an issue because we only do mid to high end kitchens". I'm glad I didn't tell him our budget was only $60,000 or he would've definitely hung up on me. I asked him what's a mid range remodel according to him, to which he replied "well it depends.. it could be anywhere from $90,000 to 180,000. Wow, so what's a high end budget??? Mr. Big Shot was very arrogant and boasted about being on Houzz.com and that I should first check out his website and his remodel pics and then decide if I wanted to further talk to him.

I spoke with Gordon on the phone, who was not very pleasant with me. He asked "what I wanted", so I started explaining the work I needed done. When I said that the tub/shower area had gold fixtures that we wanted switched out, he stated, "Well, how do you expect that to be done??" ...I'm not sure? That's why I called you! He continued to be very rude and short with me, and he finally said that they don't do the work I was describing - they mostly do complete guts that are $25k and up. That is totally fine, and I'm sorry I apparently wasted his time, but he was very condescending throughout the conversation and unprofessional. I told him he was not right for the job and we hung up. I would not consider working with them in the future due to the tone in which I was spoken to on the phone.
