Job well done

I hired Unique Bath Design to remove my shower pan, wall tiles, fixtures, vinyl flooring, and vanity, install a new shower with two built-in caddies and a shower door, a new vanity, new porcelain tile flooring, and paint. But they took way too long and did not communicate well. They started on 6/13, removing all that had to be removed. On 6/14, they installed the new flooring. 6/15 installed the grout in the flooring (Really? all day for just this? 6/16: They replaced the old toilet and sink valves and assembled the vanity (with the wrong color handle faucet, due to not asking me which color I wanted). Also, they put the backsplash in a safe place but did not tell me. So I thought either the vanity came in without the backsplash or somebody accidentally threw it out. And they prepared the walls for painting and shower installation. 6/17: Nothing got done because the painter truck broke down, but nobody told me until I got in touch with the salesman, and he called the manager. 6/18 Sunday. 6/19: Painted walls and ceiling. 6/20: The plumber had to return to extend the pipe to reach the new vanity. I texted the manager, asking who would come next and when. 6/21: The manager texted back but did not answer my question. 6/21: The manager called back to inform me that the shower installer was diagnosed with COVID and they would not be able to get another installer until 6/27 (Mind you, they started on 6/13). It would have been reasonable to finish by 6/19. 6/27: Installed shower walls and the wrong door. I requested frosted glass and got clear glass. 6/28 Installed tile on the baseboard, backsplash, and side splash. I texted the manager: When will they change the door and install the shower caddies? No answer. 6/29 I texted the manager again. He said he would get back with his guy and get back to me. 6/30 I texted again. He texted back: Doors and caddies should be in 7/1. 7/3 The manager texted me: They can install new doors and caddies on 7/7. 7/7, 9:45am I called the manager (the installer should have been here by 9 a.m.). The office called back: Caddies came in, but without the necessary material to attach them to the shower wall, and for some reason (I forget what) they could not install the door today. Why did they not call me as soon as they realized this? (Why am I sitting home waiting for nothing?) They could schedule the door install for 7/10 and hopefully the caddy install for 7/12. I told them to call me when they have all the stuff, and then we will schedule. 7/18: They called, and we scheduled the door and caddy install for 7/20. 7/20, they finally finished.

Overall quality of the job was excellent, minor cosmetic issues at the end of the job, but the customer service came back and fix everything perfectly!

The young man Brandon was very kind and professional with his work to be so young. I had two bathrooms remodeled with being a conversion from tub to a shower and Brandon did a outstanding job.

Hired them for a bathtub and wall panels remodel. Project was started when expected and done within three days. The installer was a bit young, not as experienced as we would have liked and worked really late into the night. We had to ask him to leave and come back. (Time management issues). He did good work. We like the shower walls and tub. Nice and clean looking. The hardware is cheaper than I wanted. We had a problem with the tub drain but the company was on top of making it right. Very fast and professional and the products have a lifetime guarantee. We exchanged out our shower head but I knew I was going to do this. Fast, friendly and great customer service. They stand behind their products.

Iâ m happy to say that my opinion has improved. Once completed, I was satisfied with the work. I have an older home with a few issues, but they got the job done. I would recommend.

I talked to several companies for a bathtub-shower conversion for my parents. The others I talked to engaged in high-pressure sales tactics designed to get you to sign on the spot -if you didnâ t, the price would be dramatically higher. Their quotes were also nearly twice as much. Unique Bath provided options to make the job less expensive without compromising quality. They completed the work on schedule in a timely manner. The quality of the work was very good. I would definitely use them again.

Absolutely the worst company I have ever worked with. I was a contractor for over 22 years and never seen such a disaster! The company keep pushing back the start date. Workers did not show up when they were supposed to. Job took twice as long than originally planned. Did not receive the design I asked for or was shown in the sales photos. Asked for a custom zero threshold shower pan and received a flimsy piece of laminate with a 3 inch threshold. The whole purpose of the job was to make the shower handicap accessible. They brought a cheap showerhead when I ordered a nice one with a wand/wall bar. Ordered shelves that they did not do and had to be reminded that they were missing. Asked for handicap grab bars to be installed with wood backing behind the wall. They never installed the wood backing as asked. So nothing is supporting those bars besides the backer board that the tile is installed over. Never seen a single supervisor at beginning of the job. Joe could not be bothered for days to come by and address my concerns. Just continued to send workers to try to finish the job and get paid. The salesman obviously had no clue what he was doing sold me a product the company could not produce! Unbelievable! Do not hire these people unless you want a garbage job and be overcharged with a cheaper product! Pathetic!

We are very satisfied with the new shower room and the bathroom remodeling, the whole project includes: 1) Remove the old bathtub 2 Enlarge and reinstall the shower room 3) Replace Bathroom Countertop 4) Replace windowsill It's all done very professionally and beautifully, especially thanks to the branch manager Joe Cordoba who take care of this project from beginning to the end, he is very professional and responsible, he tried to do best to make customer happy, no matter how busy he is, he never misses a call back to us. he came to my house several times to make sure every steps and changes goes well, after the project was completed, he also brought his assistant Manny to do the final inspection and improvement. it makes us 100% satisfaction. We love our new bathroom, the new shower wall and the glass wall are very beautiful and useful, we highly recommend Unique Bath Design and their products .

Joe was great to work with

I cannot recommend Unique Bath in the DFW area. Communication is poor after signing sales contract. They said it would be 4 to 8 weeks after signing the contract they would be out. 3 months later they finally showed up. They never called me to give me any updates. I had to call them. They finally called me on a Friday to say they would be out the following Monday. So great. Finally someone will be here on Monday. But on Monday they called to say they cannot be there. Well then why did they call me on Friday telling me they would be here on Monday? Now for the installation. On Monday, one guy comes out to demo the bathroom. I ask if someone is coming out tomorrow to finish. He says he does not know. How do you not know? Luckily, someone does come out the next day. Takes a couple of days to finish. The guy doing the work does not speak English very well. We have to communicate via a translation app on his phone. Sometimes that worked, sometimes not so well. So it was hard to communicate. The finished product did look good. But the next day I go to use teh shower, I discover the drain is not the lowest part of the shower. So the water does not drain completely. Also, the floor around the drain was squishy. When you steped there, the floor would give a little bit. Another thing, the shower drain was not srcewed in. It was just sealed by caulk. If I ever would have to run a snake down the drain, there is no way to remove the drain cover. Oh, and one more thing. When I would turn off the hot water in the bathroom sink, the pipes would knock. They said they would order a new floor and come back out and fix the issues. Well, another 3 weeks go by and I hear nothing. So I call to ask when they are coming out. They tell me they can come out the next day. So again, no communication from them. In the end, they did resolve the issues and the shower does look good. But I would not have them do any other of my bathrooms in my house.

Not the best communication, but did a good job with the project. They cleaned up after themselves, which was greatly appreciated. I had some problems with the plumbing that developed over the first few weeks, but they came out to take care of them as soon as it was convenient for me.

Company communications are terrible - they tried to put 2 different shower enclosures in my bathroom. Told me 4-6 weeks to get job done, actually took 12 weeks. Guys who did work were good; office and managers were very bad to communicate with. Joe was suppose to come out to verify job completed, said he did not know anything about coming out & he NEVER did come out.

The whole experience was easy start to finish. Joe was very helpful in getting the process started, and, while the ordering of materials took awhile, the installation went well. Took one and a half days for Jorge to finish up. He was very friendly, knowledgeable, and cleaned up when he was done. The new bathtub and surround look great! Really freshens and lightens the room. We would recommend them for any bath project you might want to do. They also were easy to work with on our schedule, as we work nights, and limited days to do the work.

The entire process on first bath was done very effective and looked so great we had them come back to do the second bath exactly the same way. We loved the great job that Luis did so we requested him specifically to do the next one.

We started the project back in March and agreed on an extremely reasonable price to remodel the shower in our master bath. The materials took some time to come in but it was well worth the wait. We set a date to start the job and it was finished in 2 days with terrific craftsmanship. Joeâ s 2 man crew were extremely courteous and professional. Joe even saved me money by contracting out the glass because it would have been more expensive for Unique to do it themselves. This is a top rate organization and I would highly recommend them for any of your bathroom remodel needs. Unique Bath Design of Dallas, remember this company, you will have to look no further.
