My career has been in and around the building industry my entire life. My family stems over five generations from a large family of builders,. Including my grand parents who built modest post depression 1950 style homes of that era. In fact, my grandfather built a modest home for my grandmother, where my own mother,.. was literally born and raised. My mothers brother "Uncle Bob" even mastered his talents to become Multi-Million dollar Custom Home Builder in Sacramento, California. He is the very same man, who brought me into his wings and mentored me as a young carpenter. You can say I earned my way up the construction ladder....one board at a time! After years of working as a finish carpenter, I moved back to Texas, then later started my own Remodeling company in 2001. After a few years of hard work, I managed to transform it into a company which eventually employed over 35 crews, and built many high end projects one after another. (Some of which are showcased here). Then In 2006, I opened Timber-craft Design & Construction to fulfill my newly discovered passion for designing and building Outdoor structures, and patio retreats. Today, having 29 years experience in a long career in building projects, Outdoor living has become my True passion. From listening to my clients desires, to designing a 3-D plan for their backyard projects. Each with a stylish design, proper proportions, and details that are sure to please. Every one of my clients is as important to me, as the first. I hope you enjoy my about of completed projects. Kirk far and away wins the prize for the most responsive and best communicating contractor that we have ever worked with. He always shows up when he says he is going to and he'll text you even if he is going to be 10 minutes late!
His crew was a pleasure to work with, too (he is here with them most of the time...he is not just a salesman, he does a lot of the work too). They kept the job site clean and orderly......cleaning up at days end and putting everything away before they left each day.
The quality of the workmanship is five star....we simply could not recommend him more highly.

P.S. One final thing I would say when you are planning a project...allow plenty of time ( a good 4 weeks) for getting approval from your Home Owners Association and your City Planners office.....It is important to be as up to speed as possible on all the requirements by your HOA and City so that your plans reflect all the details they need in your submission. Otherwise, you have to modify and resubmit and that eats up a lot of time.
