It went great.  Rene had replaced the compressor for me the previous year.  The house was being sold and I had already moved out, so the whole deal was handled over the phone.  He showed up when he said he would, identified the problems I had described, and completed the work in a couple hours at a reasonable cost.

Rene came some months ago to do a check-up on the air conditioner in a home we just purchased. He said the air conditioner was in very bad condition and could stop working at any moment. (Someone else told us the same thing?) He also expressed concerns about the safety of our furnace and told us if we purchased a new furnace, he would give us a used air conditioner, which would inevitably last longer than the one we already had. We couldn?t afford to have it done at that time and told him if he would hold the air conditioner for us, we would call him back when it started getting colder to purchase the furnace. He agreed. We called him back, as planned, and he had a crew on our doorstep with a new furnace and a used air conditioner in two days? time! His crew was very courteous and professional. He and his crew worked diligently all day and into the night, making sure that everything was installed properly and thoroughly checked. The air-conditioner he put in still has a couple of years of warranty on it, which is clearly better than what we had before! He agreed to accept a down payment with several months to pay off the rest and also said he could supply good filters in the future at a greatly reduced price ($2/ea). Rene is not limited to heating and air conditioning as he is a general contractor, so I?m sure we may have other projects for him in the future. Thank you, Rene.
