Orkin Pest Control

Apparently Orkin contracts with technicians on a dispatch asis, rather than having set routes. At least, we rarely, if ever, dealt with the same person twice in a row. In the last two years, we experienced technicians (who were due every month) turning up after a week, or less, since the last one visited. This occurred twice. Then, we were being billed for services not yet rendered and sent late notices for this billing. When contacted, Orkin agreed to only bill for work performed. This lasted about three months, when double billing began again. Subsequent calls resulted in the customer relations people alternately blaming "the computer system", and :confusion among the field technicians". I cancelled the service. This took two attempts. I was contacted by a supervisory type trying to resolve my issues but received another pre-bill, even after cancellation, about two weeks hence. More conversations aimed at regaining my business occurred around the Holidays, and I agreed to speak to the supervisory type during the week following the New Year. He finally called back in mid-February with an offer to scale back our service to every 60 days to save money, but had no solution for the billing issues that got us to this point. I had a separate termite inspection account (no idea why the two were separate) that I requested cancelled at the same time. From February to April I received no less than five billings for future services on one or another of the accounts, and received another this week, July 2, 2018. I found an alternative on Angie's List and hope for a better relationship with him.

While the service seemed to work, we had issues with technicians showing up within a week of each other (3 days, in one case), billing issues where they tried to get us to pay for services not yet rendered and then sending late notices, a complete inability to address these issues in their local office, and, finally, the inability to take "cancel" for an answer. I received pilling for services not performed after cancellation. Cancellation was done in late November. I received a request to set up an appointment today, April 26. Which is why I am Angie's List looking for someone more reliable.

They did an excellent job.  They were friendly, thorough, knowledgable and I would highly recommend them to others.

It went very well. They charge per month. I signed up for a one year contract.

I like the technician who is dispatched to us. She is willing to listen and take input. She is great to work with. She answers all of our questions. She always does a great job. She fixes any problems we have.

Was excellent when we started over a decade ago, cost rose slightly and service declined. We used to have the same person every time with personal attention, now we get whoever they send. To terminate the service 30 days written notice required regardless of satisfaction.
