Technician was very personable. He has apparently worked for company for many years and has established a host of
clients who ask for him by name. He is semi-retired and only works a few months
per year. He sold me a service policy which was used for the winter heating
servicing. I could not help but wonder if the level of service he gave would
continue should he permanently retire or be off on his 'annual sabbatical'.
The 2nd time I used the company, a different technician came who seemed more
interested in selling a carbon monoxide sensing system than doing the work
needed. He ultimately completed the inspection and indicated he could find no
problems with the system.
I have no real complaints about this company other than they seem to be always attempting
to sell another product to you.

The job went well. About $50-100 under the original quote. Work completed quickly. I've used Danny/LD Goss for years. It's a little hard to get him because he's so busy. He's busy because he does good work. He only does what's needed. Trustworthy.

Since the other A/C person that installed our furnace last winter when Goss was on vacation did such a poor job, Danny has been getting needed parts to correct the mess, get the permits from the city of GP and file paperwork with the manufacturer.  All things this other company did not do.  He also provided the name of a sheetrock repair person since the work that was done in December was so poor the condensation would not drain & leaked through our ceiling.
We have been using Goss for as long as I can remember & have been in this house since 1988 so could be 20 years or so.

I would trust him to work on my A/C and leave him a key if I was not there.

Mr. Goss was very personable and professional. He seems like a honest man that does work the way he is suppose to. I was amazed when he told me he got and over 30 year old outdoor compressor up and running again. Even though it is working now, he let me know that it was something that was going to have to be replace in the near future. As of now everything is still running fine :-).

Furnace burner was not operating evenly (pulsating).  Mr. Goss showed up on time, evaluated the problem, and diagnosed it as a dirty sensor.  He cleaned the sensor, brushed & vacuumed the burner & inside the heating box, and put everything back together in approximately 40 minutes.  He then tested the thermostat/furnace.   Everything's worked fine since then.

I called the contractor at about 7pm, explained our problem, and was told they could come out at about 10pm. The lady I talked to said the problem sounded like a capacitor problem. At approximately 10:15 they arrived and replaced the capacitor(just like the lady said). The gentleman who did the work was very knowledgeable, friendly, and informed us about the capacitor could still be under warranty. Sure enough it was still under warranty and she(his wife) brought us a check for the capacitor the following week. They saved us from having a long, hot night. I would feel confident in hiring them again.

He was great and he gave me some tips on how to keep my system running well. The company is family-run, they are extremely friendly, they don't talk down or act aloof, and they make sure you get the cheapest possible way to get your system working. He could have told me I needed a new system but he didn't; he just charged me for the service call. He didn't even charge for coming after hours.

Our A/C went out around 4:20 09.01.09. I phoned our home owner's insurance and the company they chose to do the work had already left for the day. I went to Angie's List and this company was close to our home. I phoned and left a message. I proceeded to call another company and they could come but not until about 2 hours and just the emergency call was $135.00. I agreed and them LD Goss returned my call and he could come this evening. I cancelled the other company and Danny Goss did come and fix our unit. His labor was $65 and the part was $42. He was going to check for us if the part was still under warranty and refused payment until he could check today. I received a call back that the part was under warranty, so to just mail a check for the $65.00. Unbelievable service and prices in today's market! Thank you, Danny! Debra

I am very pleased with the work Mr Goss did on my A/C. He came when he said he would, as a matter of fact one time when he came by I was not at home, so he left a card telling me he would try again the next work day, which worked out better for me. I would like to keep L D Goss as my refrigeration company.

He was more diligent and more professional than anyone else I had used. He charged me less as well. He was a pleasure to work with. Took 4 trips to fix problem. First trip, told to buy non-pleated air filters and reset thermostat. Second trip, line frozen up in back, couldn't work on. Third trip, wrapped unit in blankets to simulate hot day and charged unit. Fourth trip, cleaned coil. AC works great. A little disappointed it took so long, almost a month, to diagnose and fix.

"I LOOKED AT THIS SYSTEM IN VERY COOL WEATHER AND FOUND NOTHING OUTSTANDING FOR A REASON FOR THE FREEZING AND ADVISED THE MEMBER OF THAT AND TOLD HER I WOULD RETURN WHEN IT WARMED OUTSIDE. ONLY CHARGED FOR THE CALL. THE INSIDE FURNACE AND COIL APPEARED NEW BUT WAS SEVERAL YEARS OLD. THE MEMBER DID NOT KNOW HISTORY OF THE SYSTEM, BUT IT APPEARS NOW THAT THE SYSTEM HAD BEEN RUN WITHOUT FILTERS FOR SOME TIME BY THE COIL BEING PLUGGED. THE MEMBERS ARE PRETTY METICULOUS AND THAT THREW ME A CURVE I THINK. I MYSELF HAVE NEVER SEEN THE SYSTEM FUNCTIONING ON A HOT DAY YET!! MY SON WENT BACK AFTER WHAT I HAD SEEN (I TOLD HIM WHAT I HAD SEEN UP TO THIS!) AND HE FOUND THE COIL PLUGGED. I WAS REALLY SURPRISED BY THAT. I DO NOT WANT TO CHARGE FOR ANYTHING WE CANNOT SEE HAPPENING FIRST HAND AND APOLOGIZE FOR THE DELAY. THE WEATHER WAS EVEN COLD AT TIMES DURING THIS TIME AND WORKING ON AC PROBLEMS OF THIS NATURE ARE TRICKY!! WE ALSO HAD SOME PERSONAL THINGS GOING ON WITH OUR DISPATCH SYSTEM AND WERE NOT ALWAYS SURE ABOUT OUR NOTES AND TIMES TO BE THERE AND SUCH. WE HAVE RESOLVED THESE ISSUES AND ARE TRYING TO SAVE OUR CUSTOMERS FUNDS AND STILL PROVIDE A GOOD FINAL AND WORKING SYSTEM IN THE LONG TERM. I bought an old home from foreclosure. Carter had come out in June to check out the equipment and accurately warned me it could fail at any time. Six weeks later, I called them back to replace the equipment, but this time with a heat pump (more economical heating in the winter). Carter and his dad, L D Goss both worked on the installation (separately). They were very professional and pleasant and gave me a great deal! I found their estimate to be spot on to the work they promised to deliver. They were thorough and completed all the work requested, although this required several sessions. (It was a big job!) They basically did the work on a handshake. I appreciated their trust and work ethic.

This company has done a lot of work for me in the past & the one-man gang that does it all is really pleasant to work with, efficient, skilled, & professional. Prices are very reasonable & the job gets done quickly & without a lot of mess. Work loads make it a little tough to get them right away, but emergencies always get priority.
