If you want someone to show Up when he feels like it and do a so so job. This is your place. Howie usually showed up near on time. Always had an excuse. I used him for years out of habit. Sometimes it took 2 or 3 trips to get it right. I have spent thousands on this guy. The straw that broke the camels back - AC quit at 5PM. I get ahold of Howie and he tells me the name of another place to call because he doesn’t want to drive to Dallas. No problems driving the previous 10 years. Character matters

The insulation company said that the ducts needed to be attached with screws from inside the attic. They did not. The ducting was fine in the attic, only needed to be pulled back down from inside the house and screwed into a wood box so that they wouldn't lift back up. Harold said that it was something that he could do and told me his hourly rate which was quite reasonable, but that my previous AC repairman should do it for free as he had installed a new AC compressor only last year.
However, it was an easy fix and I did all 10 vents in my house within an hour.
Harold told me exactly what to do and I really appreciated that. He was honest that it should have been something that was already done previously and I shouldn't have to pay for it. I am not unhappy with my previous AC repairman as it was something that I was able to do easily.
Also checked my AC compressor and cleaned it--he said that it is perhaps a little small for my house, but that it is working properly. I am cooling much better, in part because of the insulation but also because my compressor is clean and the vents are pulled down properly and blowing directly into my house.
Would definitely use again!
