SCAMMERS! BEWARE! We called Elmer's because my husband was diagnosed with blood marrow cancer and we wanted to make sure our air was clean. We asked them to clean the coils. The first tech, who was new, came out and showed us all the pictures, and commented on all the high end quality of parts of our unit. My father, who worked for Carrier had replaced some things over the years and of course he used the best. He has since passed so we called Elmer's. BIG MISTAKE! The first tech then tried to encourage us to replace the unit, because it was old. It was what he was trained to do. Our unit blew very cold and worked just fine. We just wanted it cleaned, and a new filter holder installed. The old one had been jimmy rigged by the original owner and we wanted an easy install, I am to old to have to get on the floor to install filters. $1400 they charged for this, before they had done a thing. I told them I did not want them to charge my card until the work was done, but they did it anyway.

They made promises they did not keep. Charged me for checking broken a/c. I was told if they repaired or replaced unit it would be applied there. I purchased a new one (expensive 5 digit) and I was never reimbursed. I was supposed to have thermostat with app function (per contract), but I received a plain digital one. Open uncapped pipes dust and debris can fall in. When I talk to someone at Elmer's, I'm told "it will be investigated, and someone will get back with me." I'm still waiting (almost 5 months).

Scheduled appointment for A/C inspection 5 days in advance and was advised they could do work on 08/25/24 and I would receive a phone call with ETA. I did not hear from the company at noon and so I called for ETA. They advised I was confirmed between 2pm-5pm. At 12:34 service person Kenneth sent a text which I responded to via phone call 22 minutes later. I was then told since I did not answer right away after text and phone call they did not know if I was home. Kenneth advised they booked out for the day and the earliest they could now come by was in 2 days. Very poor communication and customer service.

I had received several estimates for a new furnaces ,this was the only company that told me that our furnace could be repaired. I was impressed by their honesty. It's is so refreshing to know that there are still companies with integrity.

The tech came out to check why my A/C wasn't working. By the time he was finished checking it out, he had a whole list of things he claimed was wrong with the system, and needed replacing for thousands of dollars. One of the immediate problems, he said was a defective switch that needed to replace for $500. I googled the switch and I could have it delivered for $11.18. I told him to get out. I called another company, they showed up within a couple of hours, and quickly diagnosed that I just had a short in a wire. They re-spliced the wire, and my system ran as good as new. I asked them about all the things I was told I needed by Elmer's and they disagreed.

The arrived 50 minutes late and were here for 1.5 hours but could not do the work. ( they were two people and tried to teach me / tell me what I needed to be done but they could not get it done for some reason. At the end they tried to sell me silver package that cost $1800.

Had problems with both heat pump units not cooling and blocked condensate drains. Put freon in each unit and supposedly cleaned the drains. One unit worked, the second worked one day, then stopped cooling, not because of freon. Contactor failed. Condensate drain never cleared. Had them back for the drain issue, claimed to have cleared it again. Not clogged worse than before and leaking in attic causing damage. Will not use Elmer's again. A $700 disaster, probably more to actually fix the problems.

I have no complaints about the quality of work or the workers that perform the work. My issue is with communication from the office. The office was unresponsive and not proactive about helping me through the work that was done on my property. I initiated the majority of the calls to find out what was going on. I found that extremely frustrating.

Elmer's a/c did an outstanding job with the installation of my air conditioning unit. The fact that they were able to perform a same-day installation is impressive and speaks to their efficiency and commitment to customer satisfaction. Furthermore, the professional installation and courteous demeanor of the team indicate that they take pride in their work and strive to deliver the highest level of service to their clients. The fact that they offered a good price is also noteworthy, as it suggests that they are competitive in the market while still maintaining high standards of quality. Coming from someone with 40+ years of experience in supervising construction projects, I can truly say Elmer's is exceptional. It's clear that Elmer's a/c is a company that values its customers and goes above and beyond to ensure their needs are met.

And speak to you in the language you would understand about air conditioning. They are curious kind intelligent people who know what they're talking about they're work to make home feel comfortable .

They showed up 1 day ahead of schedule which was appreciated, I was out of town with my work when I was contacted but my wife was home to take care of the contractor for me.
