"Thank you for this amazing review!"
"Hi [Member Name Removed]! Thank you so much for the review. We're very happy to hear that you are enjoying your investment in your home!"
My wife and I had contacted several different companies to provide estimates to replace the windows in our home and had received several estimates. About this time, we were contacted by Conservation Construction and met with Jason Dehle (469) 464-9606) in our home. Jason provided us with multiple options to replace the windows within our home. These options included the color of the window panes, the way the windows opened and closed, and the ability to add faux metal inserts in the windows to make them appear to be multi-paned windows. Based on the options, we chose the energy efficient Conservation 5 windows. We decided to replace all of the windows in our home at one time - a total of twenty-eight windows. We took advantage of the different types of windows available to replace two standard sized windows with just one window. This option allowed more light to enter the room and to give a better view of the outside. We replaced some windows that opened with windows that did not open. We also chose to not have the metal inserts put into our windows so that our outdoor views were not blocked by design preferences that blossomed in the 1990's. The estimate that we were given to replace our windows was very reasonable and much less than we had been given by contractors who had been associated with Lowe's and Home Depot.
About five weeks after we signed the contract, the windows that had been custom made for our home were ready. I was contacted by Jason to arrange an installation date. He told me that the windows would be installed in just one working day. On the day the windows were installed, the installation team arrived and began removing our old windows. After removal, the team installed the new windows. The entire process took about five hours. Upon completion of the installation, the workers made sure to clean up both inside and outside of our home. The manager of the local office stopped by our home and made sure that we were happy with the installation. Jason also stopped by to make sure that our expectations had been met.
Our expectations had been exceeded. There were a lot of improvements that we noticed immediately. Our home was much quieter. We couldn't hear our neighbor's children playing in their yard. We couldn't hear the traffic passing by on the road in front of our home. We didn't have to turn the television volume up as loud as we did just the day before. We noticed how much more light was coming in through the windows. With less hardware in the windows, our view was unobstructed to the outside. From the exterior of our home, we noticed that the windows set our home apart from many of our neighbors' homes. The paneless windows made our home look more modern and more streamlined.
Within the next two months, we noticed that our cooling costs had decreased by about 40%. Holy smokes, how much money had we been throwing out the "window" with our old windows! Later on in the year, we saw a decrease in the cost to heat our home as well.
It's been almost two years since we've replaced the windows in our home. I have no "buyer's remorse" for replacing the windows with Conservation Construction's quality windows. I've asked my wife if she thought we made the right choice to replace the windows. Her response is always an enthusiastic "Yes!" We've saved money on heating and cooling. We've seen an increase in the value of our home. We have been very, very happy with our choice.
There were a few things that we didn't expect when we replaced our windows. First, we had to have modifications made to our home security system. The old window sensors were not compatible were the new windows. New magnetic sensors had to be placed on the windows that opened. The window installers had made sure to expose the wires that the security team needed to access to install the sensors. Our security company charged us about $450.00 to install the new sensors and change the zones for the system. The windows installers had also made sure to "cap off" any alarm wires that were no longer being used. The security technician told me that the installers "really knew what they were doing" in capping off the wires because he had been in many homes where the installers had made a total mess of the security system configuration.
The county property tax assessor seemed to think that our new windows added a lot more value to our home than the price we paid for the windows. It's a mixed blessing having a higher valued home but having to pay more property taxes. I appealed the assessment and was able to reach a compromise with the tax assessor.
Our younger daughter was away at camp when the windows were installed. When she got home, she noticed the change in the windows immediately. She told us that she felt like she was coming home to a new home because the windows had changed so much around the house. Or course, I had to tease her telling her that the windows had always been this way and that she must have been confused about the changes. Perhaps she had been transported to a parallel universe while at camp - a parallel universe where we had always had such great windows. She told us that her friends had noticed the change in the windows and thought that our home looked so much nicer.
We've been very happy with our purchase. I recommend that you update your windows and that you can't find a better company to do it than Conservation Construction. Give Jason a call!
The Good:
Salesman did a great job of explaining window features; and options which we did incorporate into this phase of our window?s replacement. The single hung windows which are even with the chair rail in the room look great as does the large picture window. The product really does speak for itself. After the install the room was substantially quieter, warmer (winter time), and no drafts at all.
The Bad:
Although the installer scheduled very quickly to take detailed measurements and scheduled the install as soon as the windows showed up, the install experience was not nearly as professional as the previous two install jobs. You?ve heard of the ?A-Team? well this crew was more like the ?Y-Team? (saving the ?Z-Team? reference for any contractor that breaks something in the process of fixing something else). Without getting into too much detail, this was the only install to date where we had to complain about the condition of our property, lack of professionalism, and the install work after the job was completed.
The Result:
After one call to the parent company about contracted install issues, wheels were in motion to make things right. I sincerely believe due to the passion and pride in the product expressed during the call; we do not expect any issues with future installs. City inspection went well and no issues were noted at all.
Conservation Construction customer service deserves kudos, as well as the salesman who initially acted on our issues.
We plan on continuing replacement of the remaining 20+ windows in the rest of our house with Conservation Construction!
A few days later the actual installation crew came and re-measured our windows to get an exact measurement for each window. This crew would do the actual final order placement and then installation of the windows when they arrived from manufacturing. There were three of them, Cory Crain (the team lead), Dalton Dobson, and Steven Strawn. Cory called ahead of time and scheduled a time to come out and do the measurements. They were all very polite, professional, respectful, and ON TIME! I was very impressed with their work ethic and professionalism at first meeting.
Within six weeks, the windows arrived at the Grand Prairie location. Again, I was contacted by the installation crew team lead (Cory Crain) and advised as to date and time they would arrive. The team lead?s communication was superb - Cory called to schedule the installation a few days prior, called on the day of the installation to update me as to when to expect them, and arrived exactly when he said they would arrive.
The first day we ran into a sizing snafu on one of the windows, and two others were accidentally ordered with the wrong glass, but Cory was immediately on the phone talking to management and getting the order corrected. In the meantime, they went ahead with the rest of the installation and got about half the windows installed the first day on site.
As a result of this minor incident, a new process was implemented in how the windows are identified and catalogued when placing the order. This immediate action on the part of the Company reinforced my faith in it and its ability to continuously improve upon their already excellent customer service.
During the first day of installation the Branch Manager, Dan Miller, arrived onsite to observe the problem with the first couple of windows. He was also respectful, reassuring, and confident in his crew and what they were doing to ensure our service was exceptional. He told us if there were any problems, he was the go-to-man and that Conservation Construction stood by their policy of excellent workmanship. And they did.
Unfortunately, rain delayed the rest of the installation by a couple of days, but when the weather cleared, Cory Crain was johnny-on-the-spot making sure our appointment was scheduled for the installation of the rest of the windows. He called the day of the appointment to let me know they were on their way and when they would arrive. They arrived when he said they would, and they worked until all the windows were installed and sealed. We always did a walk-through with them and they were determined to ensure we were completely satisfied with the work they had done.
In addition to the installation, they left our property in the same (and in come cases) in better condition that it was when they arrived. They left absolutely no mess anywhere, and they covered furniture to protect it from construction dust and dirt (which there always is some), and vacuumed and cleaned the floors where they had worked. While there is never any way to absolutely insure there is no construction dust, time and care was taken to ensure it was minimized as much as possible.
The windows that were incorrectly provided came about two weeks later, and again Cory notified us immediately and setup the appointment to do the final install. He called me when they were leaving their warehouse and advised when they would arrive. They were exactly on time, and they worked quickly and efficiently, completed the windows replacements, and cleaned as they went.
I cannot say enough about this installation crew! I have had a lot of work done over the years but I have never had such a respectful and efficient group of young men with such a spirit of excellence on the job, a stellar work ethic, and who are so dedicated to the customer and the reputation of the company that employs them.
In the end - the windows are absolutely beautiful, the house is more energy efficient, and we had a very wonderful experience with Conservation Construction! I highly recommend them!
Wow!! What a great company to work with! They are not the cheapest but I learned long ago the bitter taste of low price lingers long after the sweet taste of low price has disappeared. Chris Simmons was our salesman & he was super to work with. Very responsive. We did our project in two phases with half the windows replaced about 2 years ago and the final ones finished today. When they leave the jobsite I don't even know they have been here except they leave great windows behind!! They are meticulous at cleaning up the work area more than any other contractor I have worked with.
We ordered the last windows about 6 months ago. There is a lag of 4-6 weeks after the order is placed for the installation to begin. About a week before the windows arrived in their warehouse we noticed major settling of our foundation had occurred since we placed the order! Three of the window frames had warped so badly there was no way they could do a quality installation. Without complaint, they stored the windows for more than 6 months waiting for us to get the foundation fixed. We have not paid any money until today when they installed the last of the windows. They paid for the windows so they have eaten that expense waiting for me to call them for installation. I have never dealt with a company that would do something like that since they were on the hook for the cost of the windows from the factory.
I can recommend Conservation Construction of Dallas without any reservations. We are looking forward to our reduced heating bills this winter.
The windows are great. The house is less drafty and dusty and the windows crystal clear.
"We are sorry to hear about your frustration. We contract with a marketing company called Conservation Contacts; and it was one of their representatives that you spoke with at your door. When you gave him permission to contact you on behalf of Conservation Construction, he had you sign a document that states that "We will not sell or distribute your information to any other companies."; and we expect Conservation Contacts to abide by that statement. Please contact our office directly if you have proof that their representative sold your information, and we respond accordingly. Thank you."
Second order of windows installed very quickly and once again the installers did an outstanding job with removal, install and clean up. I was concerned about the dimensions of this set of windows because we went with a 1/3 height opening window, this way there would be no horizontal bar at eye level looking out to our yard. We also eliminated the grid pattern, as most windows in the area here have. The results are excellent, thanks to the careful measuring they did, the bar is below seat back height and all we see is wide open space out to the yard. The windows appear much bigger due to the bar location and not having any grid work.
We noticed an instant temperature improvement to the rooms and no more drafts! The windows function flawlessly. When the city inspector came to check the work even he commented on the job and mentioned he was looking for replacement windows for his house, which we recommended Conservation to him.
As per the last install Doug followed up with us once the work was complete. Service before, during and after the sale and install has been outstanding.
We have a long way to go yet, 24+ windows to go, and even with these few there has been a very noticeable decrease to our energy bills and outside noise, and an increase in our comfort. As before, we plan on continuing replacement the remaining windows in the rest of our house with Conservation Construction.
