Angel Custom Homes

In short, stay away from Angel Custom Homes. I worked with Angel on a $25,000 home improvement project at the recommendation of a friend. Because of that relationship, Angel took advantage of the situation and pressured me to pay in full prior to seeing the finished product (newly finished floors were wet) since he needed to pay his workers, and promised to fix anything that was needed after. Angel promised everything would be perfect - the work completed was far from perfect and he was never able to meet expectations. Once he was paid he stopped returning my calls, I typically had to call 3 times to receive 1 answer and he rarely called back. He did try to fix some of the issues with his work, but work often came out worse on the 2nd or 3rd try. Examples of problems with the work include streaks and differing sheen in the newly stained/sealed floors, waves in the wood floor due to improper sanding, sanding scratches, and hair under the finish. The refinished cabinets also had sanding scratches, streaks and brushstrokes in in the finish. He was paid to refinish the concrete floor, but failed to remove the previous stain so the job had to be completely redone. I gave him 2-3 tries to correct his errors before asking for a partial refund of $3000 to fix his errors. Angel refused, saying that “he had already paid his guys” and that “the work was only about 10% bad.” On top of that, he told me 3 weeks (it was almost 9). Stay away.
