He presented himself as an honest, Christian person. I paid him almost $11,000.00 and he not only left the work half done, but I had to pay three other companies another $12,000 to re-do all the work he had done. The electric company I hired told me I was lucky I did not have a fire. the work was so poor. He is just conman who changes the name of his company and just steals from people, then finds his next victim and dumps the others. I have served him with papers and I intend to sue him for triple the amount as Texas law allows. I was surprised to see his company listed on Angies list. I thought Angies list was a reputable company, but they are the same as Home Advisors where I first got his name. All the information Angies list is a lie. He just makes stuff and Angies list puts it on their site. I see both Angle’s list and Home Advisors just as dishonest as he is. Do not let Smith Construction near your house! I would also never trust Angle’s List or Home Advisors for anything. Get suggestions from trusted friends. Remember, if the service is free, as both Angle’s List and Home Advisors is, YOU are the product they are selling to con men or rather con people to be PC!

I had to fire him and hire others to complete the work he could or would not do.

He has not completed the work and now he will not return any of my phone calls. He did complete some of the work but did not clean up after himself. I have noticed there are pieces now missing from toilet tank as well. He has called me several times promising things and is yet to follow through. I have tried to be patient with him but now he will not return my calls.

After a phone contact, we met at my house and he looked at the work I wanted done.  We negotiated a price.  Weather prevented him from beginning on time.  Also, a problem on another job caused him to be late one day.  The job took two days, one for the tree and one for the duct work.  Under the house, he noticed some other duct problems and he took care of them without charging extra.  He was friendly, a hard worker, and didn't waste time when working.  I will definitely use him again.  In fact, I asked about porch railing replacements (half logs) and he said he could find what I want and quote me a price to do the work.
