Supposed to be a two week job. Take bathtub out. Put walk in shower. Upgrade vanity and put ADA toilet. Tile crooked, floor in shower would not drain, water would stand in the corners. Floor in vanity area would have drained towards hallway and not towards shower area. Tile was crooked and unfinished throughout.Very amateur and not professional. Manager never called back at any time. Sent several messages and several texts, phone calls. Never answered one time if there was a problem. I told them not to put a check in until we got this resolved, they put it in. The plumbing company was in our home from November 16th to January and did not finish the job. Prior to even starting the project, we let the company know we had a deadline. At that time, we were given a completion time of 2 weeks. The first day the bathroom was gutted.
The flooring was put in and torn out by the workers. The partition was put in and torn out by the workers. The toilet was put in but nothing else. The tile was installed on the walls, but it was by two different people and was uneven. They would talk about the manager and would quit during the project and someone else would show up.There was an occasion that when they put up a partition, they made a mistake and had to cut the wall. They fixed the wall, but did not finish it out. I could not paint the wall as it needed to be finished (textured). One of the workers textured part of it. Later, he came back and said that the manager told him to have us pay him for this. We explained to him that this was his error, not ours. It was never fixed appropriately.
Two weeks went into 2 months and then into January. They would show up for a day or two and then not come back.
The manager never returned our calls or texts.
This was the worst experience. The loss was approximately 4k which included supplies and advances to the company. We never received any money back. We did not receive a call, apology or letter of apology.
Please note that this was difficult to write this as we really like the owner, Bill. He is a nice guy who has done several jobs for us in the past and we were 100% satisfied with his professionalism and his work ethics.
It has been managed very poorly. This would have never happened if the owner was in charge of the day to day operation.
Update 2014: Found out a few months ago that the wall will have to be torn out and the plumbing replaced because it is all wrong. I will need to get a master plumber in to do the work and then a contractor to replace wall and tile. The contractor stated that this was the fault of the plumbing company.
