Original estimate was aprox $30K. It cost us $62K and he left the job unfinished. He was drinking on the job, did not check in and out with us, although he was paid by the hour. He has no conception of estimating materials or the ability to hire helpers. He takes off sick and does not let us know he's not coming to the jobsite. One month after I fired him, I discover that he did not put enough pitch on the roof and it will have to be pulled and replaced. We discovered a light fixture in the bathroom full of water, smoking hot, as well as damage to the walls. He seems to have run back to Maryland, but if he comes back to Texas, I'll see him in court.
