I called The Door Company in the morning after reading their good reviews on Angie's List. They said I would receive a call from the service agent prior to arrival in the afternoon. The service agent called and let me know he was in the area and would be here in about 5 minutes, if that was ok.

I described the problem with the garage door which was squeaking and cracking though I had faithfully lubed it with a spray specifically for garage doors. The agent checked the alignment, rails, springs, and wheels which were in good working order. He sprayed every part with an oil that had Teflon in it that made it adhere to the parts. The oil that I had used ran off the parts and dried quickly.

After a few openings, the squeaks and cracking sounds were gone. He also suggested that the next door we buy should have full vision hinges instead of connector ones.

He also showed me how to reprogram the remote controls and change the batteries in them. The agent was courteous, friendly, and knowledgeable. The service call was worth every penny.

My garage door broke (crumpled actually) and I needed a new one- I called one other company and also Lowes and Jerry's price was right. He did not try to upsell and was easy to deal with. He came by and looked at my door within hours and made recommendations. It was replaced that same day- which was good because my door was stuck in a partially open position. I would use him again- my neighbor has also contacted him and recommended him. I ended up with an insulated door and nylon rollers and my door is much, much quieter than the original metal door the builder had installed. He also helped me understand what had gone wrong so that I can fix this problem on some of my rental homes to prevent any more garage doors being ruined!!

Jerry was very helpful in educating me about the doors and was always willing to answer questions as they came up. Their price was fair, the middle bid. Delivery and installation was on time and as scheduled. The installation looks nice and fits well. The only detraction was on one side of the track, the installer drilled 5 extra holes for the ceiling hanger that were not used in what appears to have been an attempt to find the joist. The screws that were installed were put in at such a sharp angle that only a few threads were in the joist. I put in longer screws, but I will have to go back and fix the holes and repaint to repair the ceiling. I called and reported it to Jerry who said he would come by and look at the workmanship, but he never did. They would have received an and quot;Aand quot; recommendation if it weren't for the workmanship on the bracket.

An excellent experience, friendly and professional service, quality product, an excellent installation job, and a fair price.
The installer was very conscientious, made sure everything on the new
installation was working properly, and carefully cleaned up the area and
hauled off the old door.

I had to call them a couple of years later because a wire came loose. They came out right away at no additional charge . Their service was fine and they respond quickly. I would absolutely use them again.

I was scared that it would cause problems. I called and they were able to come out very quickly. They did a good job and the price was reasonable. The experience was great!

He came out right away. He was friendly and nice. He also showed me how to adjust the door myself if the problem occurred again.
