I found Richard on Craigslist after not getting very good response from the top rated lawn services here, none of them we interested in a doing a small job. They should learn that a small job can lead to a large job, I'm not going to just sign a contract or engage them for ongoing services without trying them first.
Richard came out the next day and looked over my lawn, he didn't think I needed dethatching and that a good aeration would do the trick. Good service there, he could have simply done what I asked and charged me double but he chose to do the right thing. He gave me an estimate and we setup service for the next morning. Richard was running a little behind schedule but called BEFORE the time he was supposed to be at my house to let me know he was running late. He was on time for the newly rescheduled time. Richard got to working on my lawn quickly and was done in about an hour and a half, including taking the time to sweep the debris off of the patios and walkways.
Richard is just a one man operation and trying to build his business. He was always very prompt, courteous, and responsive to me.
