Wes came out and met with us. We needed a new fence, a section of our backyard replaced with steel edging and filled with crushed aggregate, and the remainder dug up and replaced with new sod. Our dog loves to run along the fence and through the yard and the St. Augustine just wasn’t holding up to the traffic. We also needed two beds in the front dug out and replaced with river rock and several plants. After looking at the traffic patterns in the dirt, Wes helped coordinate the work on the fence, and once that was completed, his crews took care of the rest in record time. We’re seniors, and have had the opportunity to work with plenty of contractors. I NEVER had to call him. His crew came in, got to work, and like magic, we had a gorgeous new yard! After seeing it, I decided I wanted some to add an additional stone walkway. No problem. His crew happily placed the stones until I was happy with the design. They even replaced a sprinkler head that to efficiently water the new design. I felt like every aspect of the job was supervised and handled so professionally. Outdoor Designs is the ONLY company we will ever use.

From installations of large stones for a retention wall, leveling and excavation, preparing fields for wild flower planting, building my driveway and parking spaces, creating a RV pad, and clearing a RV space near my river front, all of their work has been top notch and budget friendly.

I contacted Wes at Outdoor Designs this Spring for help with my landscaping after the 2021 Winter Storms. Like many, the storms destroyed all the agave and cactus in our xeriscaped front yard. Wes came out for a consultation, and we devised a plan to rip out the dead plants xeriscaping and lay new sod and add some other features. Wes knows his stuff and provided all sorts of interesting background on Central Texas plants and grasses. Wes' prices are competitive, and the work and design were outstanding. His team did a great job, and they've been with him a long time. We still get compliments on our new lawn from our neighbors and friends. We went from worst to first-place yard on the block. Wes and his team are awesome and the results were beyond our expectations. Top quality material used through out and his prices were in line with the others we spoke with. One of the reason we went with outdoor Designs is that Wes' picked up on both large and small challenges during our first visit. He talked to us about things that the others failed to mention and when the project was finished we could tell that Wes had a vision in his head about what this was going to look like before he even left our home. We had some minor grade/slope issues that were difficult to see before hand, but now that it is finished we can admire Wes' elegant solutions that show in the end result. I know after our next Texas downpour that we'll appreciate his talents even more. Plus, Wes is a really nice & easy going guy. We both picked up on that within minutes of his arrival - and nothing pushy about him. It was nice to learn that most of his crew have been with Wes for years - low turnover means that he treats his workers well and he keeps the best. Listen, Wes' price will be competitive, but his workmanship is unrivaled. We've been home owners for 40 years and have seen a lot. We can't recommend Wes & team highly enough.

Wes and his crew provided a reasonable proposal for the work. The work was scheduled within days of receiving the proposal. Crew did a fantastic job and cleaned up all the waste material. Wes met the crew at the house in the morning to make sure they understood the scope and came back after they were done before they left to be sure everything was done and we were happy.

Wes and his team were efficient and did a great job. They regraded my backyard so that the water flows around and away from my house. For the first time in over 5 years since living in this home our patio did not flood after a large downpour!

The work went exceptionally well. The crew did a terrific job clearing out the old shrubs and landscaping. The sod went in quickly and the new mulch looks great. The end result was just what was proposed and an excellent value.

7/2017 - Outdoor Design replaced the sidewalk to the front porch, slightly slanted in order to facilitate the drainage of water. For the second time, his clear understanding of the water flow allowed for a simpler, less expensive solution. Other bids required long, complicated French drains. They also installed rocks between two other buildings to reduce erosion and solve drainage problems. Both solutions have worked well. He is professional, precise, prompt, and knowledgeable. 8/2013 - Wes Cowart installed a new French drain and four pipes to carry the water. It has worked perfectly for over five years. He did it at a cost that was well below the two highest of our four bids.
