The initial contract and paperwork was handled by the New Braunfels office in February 2013. I was very pleased with the professionalism and responsiveness of the New Braunfels office.
Due to a corporate restructuring, the New Braunfels office was closed, and the responsibility for the final paperwork and filings was transferred to the Georgetown office.
Dealing with the Georgetown office to finalize the contract, including county filing of the lien release, was difficult. Even though the builder was paid in full at the end of November 2013, it took over three weeks before the paperwork for us to sign was received. Then, there was a long delay before the signed forms were returned to me with the builder's signature. Again, after waiting until the end of February for a signed and filed copy of the lien release, I've been told it must have been lost in the mail, and they don't have a copy. To add to the frustration, I had to repeatedly contact Pennie to ask the status of the paperwork, at each stage. Often, multiple phone calls or emails were made before a response was received.
