The Coronado family, that own and operate Georgetown Awnings, LLC, took $5,000 from us and did NOTHING!! We took them to Small Claims Court and won a judgement, and they have yet to return our money. BE FOREWARNED!!!

Horrible, terrible and just downright. Do not use these people... They are really nice until they receive a 80 percent down deposit... Then excuses, from Trump being president to "my truck got stolen" start up. They go by two names Georgetown Awnings Centex Awnings Both are the same... And good luck getting them to telll you where the office is... The one they said they had.. They had been evicted. Then they said they had another... But wot give the location. If Danny Coranado calls you about your inquiry... Run... He is not an honest man by any Stretch of the imagination. Beware

On Jan 27, 2025..Danny Coronado from Georgetown/Centex Awnings contacted me via email due to my inquiry on Angies List. We discussed the project in detail and he ended up writing me an estimate for 15,000 to finish out my 30x30 metal building. I agreed to the price and on April 12, 2025 he came to my home and collected $10,000 down payment for the work. After this I heard from Danny the following week saying he had half the materials, and the work would start the next week. The responses from Danny became few and far between after this ultimately ended up coming to a stop altogether. Someone named Eric or "Buzz" from the company came over...had some men clean up and haul off some trash on May 16th on a separate deal other than the building job. I asked Eric when will this buiulding get started..he said the following week. Nothing has happened, there has been no work on the building that I paid the $10,000 deposit for, there has been no materials delivered and no response to any text messages when I ask where their physical office is. Communication has stopped altogether and on the rare occasion I get a call answered its the same excuse over and over about Trump, and his Mexican workers have left and he has no crew.

I put in a request through Angi's for Awning services. Shortly thereafter, I received a call from Eric (806)252-1434 of Central Texas Awning stating that he had seen the request and was calling to inquire about the project. I informed him, about it as well as sent pictures to him which he stated that Central Texas could do the project, for he has been doing this for over 40 years. We set up an appointment at 10:30 a.m. for him to come to physically to look and determine if the frame also needed replacing. He would have the office email me the Invoice contract, and he would collect the deposit when he came. On the appointment date at 10:30, another gentleman came, named Tod or Tory (512)639-6017) ? He said that Eric was tied up in traffic and asked him to come. He looked at the awning, asking questions about how old it was and said the frame looked fine. He would come the next day or so to remove the fabric so that they will be able to match it and the design. Reiterating the length of time it would take them to receive the materials, for the seamstress to sew and design before returning to install. He (Todd/Tory) said he would email me some color samples to best match the current awning. It all sounded legit so I gave them the deposit. After his leaving, I began to have some not-so-easy feelings about this when I noticed the card he gave me, didn't have his name on it. The numbers noted on the card didn't go through. The number he wrote on the card did but said the user had not set up voicemail. Two days later, I called the number again, he answered and wanted to know who was calling and then he recognized my voice and asked if this was Mr. Horace, I told him yes, and he apologize that he had forgotten to email me the sample colors and would do that as soon as he got back to the office. and that the office wpi;d send acknowledgment of deposit receipt. The email came denoting the deposit of 800.00 (which was the same document I had received before the appointment. 2-3 days, still no email with sample colors received. To date, no one has responded to my calls or texts, or emails. I have the invoice contract that they sent but don't know how to attach to this document. I can forward it to this email address.

I hired company 12/12/24. Stated he would get on it immediately and that his workers haven't had work and need money for Christmas I paid him 15k, the total amount of estimate to bless his workers. This was a Thursday said they would start on Tuesday 12/17. Didn't show didn't call. Wednesday i called and he said his men want to wait until after the holidays. January came and two men came and demolished my old carport -this left the building the carport was attached to exposed. Then almost every 2 weeks they nex next Tuesday - then weather was freezing. So a few weeks later said next Tuesday, but it rained. Again no communication. I called and he said everyone has been sick with the flu, the buzz the crew leaders wife was ver ill so he handed the job over to Dam Danny - he came out and said he would start next week, this was a few weeks ago. My final communication was last Friday when I requested a refund so I could hire someone else to do the job. Danny said he would inform mgr and they would get back to me - still waiting.

I wanted to share my experience with Georgetown Awnings. These guys did a commercial job for me when i was in a pinch and needed work done fast. I needed awnings and a metal building put up and they delivered great service. Not only did they get me a quote the same day, they also met me the next day on site. I had a budget in hand already and they worked with me to meet my budget plans. I want to say thank you to the owner and their crew, and the least I can do is share my experience on here. Previously I had seen some not so great reviews down below, i brought up my concern and heard their side of the story. I'm glad i did. So here is my review, thank you Georgetown awnings & Team!!

After first call, and visit , deposit paid, I have had two start dates promised. With a promise of a call each week while waiting to let me know where my material is and how soon it would be. After calling 3 times, I had a visit by the owner with a possible start date and guarantee start date, it is 11:00 AM on the start date no crew, no call. I cannot comment on materials or labor quality because I have not received any. I don?t feel that it is my responsibility to call them again. If no show/no call by COB today I will be requesting my deposit back.

They do not return phone calls. There issues with the job. If they would have done it right the first time I would not have to call them back! They have a 40 year warranty they do not honor the warranty because they do not come back.

The company asked for half up front, and by a year and a half later never got started on the project. Customer service lines are often just not working and when I do get through they just lie about getting started or giving my money back. The one time they did show up to remove an existing structure they destroyed some of my property and never properly repaired it. Total horrorshow of a company, avoid at all costs.

Owner was very patient and determined to fix my motorized awning problem for me. He did!

I needed a front and back window awning replaced at my house. Georgetown Awning walked me through the process and installed the awning in a timely manner. There was a misunderstanding with the order, and they were professional, patient, and prioritized my customer happiness to ensure we reached a mutually agreed solution. I am happy with the product and service provided, and recommend them to anyone looking to get awnings installed or replaced at their residence.

I had a rotting pergola that need to go. Georgetown awnings replaced it with a metal canopy. It looks great. It took about 2 weeks longer but it was worth the wait. They trimmed my trees and through out the old pergola free of charge. I would recommend to a friend or neighbor.

Great work for a reasonable price. Looks great and a perfect addition to our home.

This was such a fun group of people to work with. I came to the shop and they worked with me on picking out fabric and color. It did take a little bit longer than expected, but with everything going on I think it was still a reasonable time frame. Will use them again if I decide to expand my backyard further.

We initiated the contract May 7, 2021 and it is now July 27th and our screened in patio is still not complete. We foolishly paid him the full remainder of the amount because he said he would return the next day for the last little bit left on the project. I should have known not to trust him. The owner is actively avoiding calls and texts. I feel like he is scamming us at this point. It is supposed to be a 3 day max project turned into nearly 3 months. (Yes, I will excuse the weather delays, but not the lack of communication about rescheduling the MANY times he says they will come then never show up - for weeks.) I would highly NOT RECOMMEND THEM.

Unfortunately, I had the same experience as the review by Diane and ben T. I placed an awning order on 5/6/21 and was told it would take a month. But after 2 months I still didn't hear from them. So I called in July to set up install dates 4 times (7/8, 7/14, 7/15, 7/16), but all 4 times no one showed up at the time they said they would, and no one called me to say they weren't coming. I finally started communicating by text to have everything documented in writing because I thought I was being scammed. Turns out that my awning wasn't even made yet, and they texted me on that they were making my awning the weekend of 7/17. I finally got my awning installed on Monday 7/19/21. What a hassle for a simple awning! I have worked with so many great contractors in the past, but this company is the worst one I have worked with because they don't take initiative to call you when they are not going to show up at all or when they are going to be late. They also didn't call or text me when they were on their way like I asked them to. I regret working with this company because it was such a big hassle and a waste of my time waiting for them, and I will not work with them again.

An initial misunderstanding was resolved, they did an excellent job they are very hardworking and very polite.

Took a lot longer than we hoped, but it's finally done and looks great. Between weather delays, Crew with COVID, trying to catch up on overdue projects, ours took over 2 months after deposit. Work is nice. Awning looks good and keeps rain off the deck. It's what we paid for.
