Express HVAC Svc

The inspector showed up late and he did check the systems, but we paid for a full report that was supposed to be detailed "full inspection" and they did not provide the full inspection report they told us over the phone that they would provide. Express HVAC also did not provide the report until 6 days later then when we needed it by for a home inspection under contract. The primary reason to pay this company so much as for a detailed inspection (which they did not provide) and to receive their report within a day or two (which they also did not provide). A request to speak to their manager about this resulted in no reply.

The guys at Express are extremely knowledgeable, professional and friendly. The work I had performed was done in a timely manner and they were there when they said they would be there. When the work was completed, they cleaned up behind themselves making sure there was no mess left behind. The office called to follow up with me after the installation to make sure I was satisfied with all the work performed. I would definitely recommend and will be using them again in the future.

It happened at the start of Memorial Day Weekend when temperatures were around 100 degrees and they were quick to respond when other companies wouldn't. Did it all in one day. Very efficient and professional. Would definitely recommend them.

Although the tech that arrived was pleasant and knowledgeable and patient with all my questions, he was not familiar with the deal I bought so I ended up paying full price and had to get a 10% rebate by check from the office. Clearly the office did not ask if he had applied the coupon's discount for additional services when the credit card was called in. I was out there when he extracted the capacitor and I could see very clearly that it was in need of replacement. When I asked how much it would cost, I was really surprised. He said that the $265 included the part and labor and that the part was really expensive and made in the USA. Since it literally has two wires that plug, sort of like a 9V battery, the labor could certainly not be a large part of that cost. He wrote it up and took my credit card and had to call it in to the office for processing. I look at the bill and mentioned the 10% discount had not been applied. His response was what 10% discount. I printed out the coupon to show him. He had me talk to the lady in the office who informed me the charge had already been processed so she would cut me a check for $26.50 and send it out to me, which they did. If I hadn't noticed and mentioned it, though, they would not have volunteered fact that I was due the discount. After he left and I had gone back inside, I went online to see how "expensive" this condenser capacitor really was. I was shocked!! The capacitor, even one made in the USA, was no more than $67 no matter where I looked. This was, as it turns out, a total rip off. Even if they paid $50 for the part, doubled it for the profit and added $50 for the 60 seconds it took to install, it still would have only been $150 and not $265. I then checked with several other A/C service providers and the highest of the 6 companies that I checked was $160. This company clearly overcharges for its services. I feel as though the coupon was simply a way to get stupid prices for repairs that may need to be done. I am very disappointed with this experience and will never use them again NOR will I recommend them to anyone.

The technician was prompt and professional. he was very helpful and provided a couple of tips we could use ourselves as preventative AC maintenance. I appreciated that.

Terrible. They couldn't tell me what size unit I currently had to make a comparison. The installer couldn't sweat the joints properly. Afterwards we found out they were about $500 more than another company. I would never use them again and definitely not refer them.

Very professional, responsive and excellent customer service

Given the amount of money involved, we decided to get a second opinion and had another AL top ranked company come out for a $39 diagnostic. The technician quickly diagnosed the problem as a clogged drain line and, since the cure was so minor, he offered to complete the job while he was already on-site. He vacuumed the overflow drain plan out as well as the drain line (from both directions). Water still wasn't coming through very well so he blow some compressed air through the system. That did the trick. It's now a couple of days later and the A/C is running fine. The overflow drain pan is almost completely dry, indicating there was NOT a problem with the A/C unit itself. This second opinion saved us a needless $2000 "repair" by Express.

Excellent. The service guy did a wonderful job, explained what he was doing and why.

They completed fixing the issue in less than a half hour. They charged $388 for the service which I thought was rather expensive for the little amount of work that was required. But that included parts, and I think most other companies will charge pretty close to the same amount for this service. I don't think you have any less expensive option unless you want to try to diagnose the problem and fix it yourself, which I wasn't going to do.

Tim and his team were excellent from start to finish! They were on time, professional, knowledgeable and friendly! I had a minor issue come up on a Saturday and both Tim and William were here promptly! I definitely recommend Express HVAC!

technician came out and was friendly and knowledgeable. tech found some problems and showed me the problem while telling me why problem existed. we were low on refrigerant so while tech was adding refrigerant he showed me and thoroughly explained how this was helping my unit. he broke everything down to where i could understand my system and how it worked. he even gave me some tips on how to run my unit a little more efficiently.

He got the wrong unit, I was happy with what he did for me by the time it was all over.
