STAR TEX PROPANE INC

We called Star Tex Propane for an appointment for them to come out and give us an estimate on the work to be done.  They quoted us $60/ hour in labor.  The soonest they could come out was in 30 days.  So, 30 days later, one guy came out without the correct supplies to do the job and seemed confused as to what he was doing. We called the company and explained the situation and made sure there was no more confusion on the job to be done.  We had to wait another 30 days to get the job completed by two gentlemen.  My husband and I were handed a bill of almost $1000 and were charged $110/ hr in labor.  So my husband called the company and explained that we were quoted $60/ hr NOT $110/ hr and we were told that because 2 people had to perform the job,  that is why the $110/ hr labor was charged.  ALL this was not explained to us PRIOR to the work being performed. Then they said we even should have been charged for the first person that came out that couldn't perform the job.  Needless to say Star Tex Propane General Manager told us that he will not refund us that money so we no longer are doing business with them.  They have picked up the gas tank and kept our $200 they owe us.  We are hoping that noone else gets duped by these folks.  There is another gas company named Amerigas that we do business with now.
