Rainmaker Sprinkler & Repair

Eric's crew spent three hours repairing the sprinkler system. They took me through each station, showed me what was working well and what wasn't, and explained the costs thoroughly. They were friendly and professional during the entire experience. When they were finished, they once again walked me through each station and made sure that all they had said was going to be done was in fact done and done right.

Called Eric and he got right back to me. He was able to get the guys to come out the very same day! They had a cancellation and fit me in. The service guys were pleasant, professional, quick and did a great job. They explained everything that needed to be done and then checked the entire system out after the repairs. I always give these guys a call when I have an irrigation issue.

Very professional team. We were thinking that we were going to have to have a completely new system installed. The lead person really knew his stuff! They did an excellent job repairing and refurbishing our sprinkler system. We were very pleased with this company.

When we noticed last evening that the water in one of our sprinkler zones was not turning off properly I called Eric this morning. Martin and his team came at the end of the day from across Dallas and replaced the sprinkler valve, replaced some sprinkler heads and checked the entire sprinkler system. We have used Rainmaker Sprinkler and Repair each time we have needed assistance; Eric either answers the phone immediately or calls us back within 5-10 minutes. If he cannot get his guys out immediately, he will always give advice and do what he can to help until they arrive. The cost of their service is reasonable and our experience with Eric's team has always been good. We would recommend his company highly.

They showed up right on time, very easy to schedule. Did a very through job of identifing the problem and verifying the overall system condition. The quality of work was very good.
Their pricing is ala cart, and everything costs in addition to labor. This can add up very fast if you purchase all their recommendations. Good company but you need some basic understanding of your true needs (what you need versus what they recommend).

Very knowledgeable of sprinkler systems. They tested electronics and realized that there was a separate line tied into the line that they were bypassing. They found the additional control box and restored all sprinklers with the re-route of the main line.

The owner was very responsive and had the guys out within 2 days of my call. They even called when they were on their way so I could leave work and meet them. The service guys were very professional and walked through the issues with me and answered all my questions. I had pop ups that were not functioning correctly and they replaced them. Also had 1 zone where I wasn't getting enough water through some heads and they replaced nozzles to get more water. Overall they spent about 4 hours of labor going through everything and about 1 hour was spent looking for a leak that wasn't there, which they were veru thorough trying to figure out. Only issue I had was that on some of the low rotors they wouldn't just lift them up even though they were working fine. I was told they would not warranty it unless I bought a new rotor ($25 each) from them. I felt like I had to spend money on sprinkers that were working fine. Other than that, I would use them again.

We've used then twice now and had very positive experiences with them. He took the time to explain things to me. They were efficient. They were on time. They fit me in to a busy schedule. They are very courteous and professional.

My sprinkler system stopped working. The system wouldn't start or run it's schedule. I called many places and Rainmaker said that they would be able to come out on the same day I called (Friday, 8/31). They were very friendly and very flexible. When they were running behind from a previous customer they called to simply tell me and gave an approximate time they would be done along with asking if this new time was ok with my schedule or would I like to reschedule. When on their own they also called to inform me. Upon arrival they were professional and very friendly. They presented me with a business card immediately and got straight to work. They took the time to walk through what was wrong with my system and were quick to resolve the issue.
They fixed all issues, ran a full diagnostics and checked all my heads. They also informed me of city ordinance and requirements for a functioning rain/freeze sensor and priced everything before they began any work. They even asked if I had coupons and said that if not to go check on their site or Angie's List. They even found and fixed two sprinkler heads buried under rocks that another irrigation company couldn't locate. Though their prices were a little higher than some other places I called from Angie's List, I appreciated their friendliness, their professionalism and their willingness to explain everything calmly and in simple terms. I will use them again.

The technicians arrived on time. But, they were very difficult to understand. The main person mumbled and spoke very quickly and did not speak clearly. The other guy didn't speak at all.

I had a very hard time understanding what he was saying. I had to ask him to repeat himself multiple times and I still wasn't sure we were both on the same page.

He dug up a whole where I thought I had a leak and ended up replacing a sprinkler head next to it. As far as I can tell, that leak was fixed.

He also tested the timer to ensure it was functioning properly. And during the tests, noticed some of the zoners were sticking. He then spent quite a bit of time showing me different zones as they were sticking.

I was very surprised how little they accomplished in the hour and a half they were at my house. After an hour and a half, they told me my valves stuck (which I already knew), and replaced one sprinkler head.

Also it seems like the prices for parts were pretty high - they charged $10 for the one head they replaced, but I could pick one up at lowe's for $3-$4.

I definitely don't want someone changing my sprinkler heads out for $100/hr and also up charging me on the cost of all the parts.

I feel like a sprinkler guy should know immediately from my description that the valves were at fault, and not the timer.

When asked for a price per valve to replace, he could not answer me. He could only quote the parts price and a price per hour, but couldn't tell me how long the valves would take to replace.

I understand they charge per hour, but I would expect them to have a good idea of how many hours a job would take, at least give me an estimate.

I felt uncomfortable moving forward with any additional work as it seemed like they were not efficient and were too expensive. I didn't want him to do anything else and just wrapped up the service call.

Great job. Will use them again.

Everything went better than I could of imagined. Getting work around the house as we all know can be very scary when you don't know who is doing the work, but these guys were great! A++

When I called them, the person that answered was very nice and helpful. He was eager to help and get me a time scheduled. On the day of the appointment, he did call and inform me of the arrival time of the workers. They were on time, friendly and professional. We were very pleased with the whole experience.

Went well, explained problems fixed and what needed to be done daily.

Overall, I am pleased with the service. The crew ran a system check and repaired two damaged nozzles. Although they weren't here long, the repairs were done quickly and I no longer have a geyser from a missing nozzle when I water the lawn. My only minor concern was that the base price for the service call was $90.00, which seems a little high. Glad I had the Angie's coupon!
