+ -1 moreGot several quotes for water leak detection and prices. Had a appointment with one Angies List plumber that had ok rates, about $500 to repair the leak. However, the water started coming out more and more before they could make it out. Called Peter-Built after seeing his name in an Angies List review. His trip charge is a reasonable $15 and charges by the hour, not the job. This can go either way depending if he gets stuck on something. I decided to go with the odds and since he could come out in two days scheduled the service call. He called me on the day when he was coming out. The job took about 3 hours to complete vs our hoped for 2, but even with the extra time the bill was $150 less than the other estimates. I will use Peter in the future for plumbing work as I prefer hour rate vs book rate in most cases.
Description of Work: Had water pooling in the front year near the house - sprinkler company determined it was not a sprinkler. Peter-Built came out, dug down to find the leak and repaired a 2' section of the main water line to the house. After patching the first leak when they applied water pressure another leak appeared. They had to increase the size of the patch. The cleaned up, re-graded the yard they had dug up so it looked nice.
