 + -1 moreWe had used them long before I was ever on Angie's List. As across the board because we've had no bad experiences whatsoever. Absolutely, we'll use them again.
Description of Work: They're called Modern Cooling & Heating, Inc. They've done a lot of bits of stuff over the years, you know, just routine service calls for, like we have the AC and heating units, I figure they call it just 'yearly inspection', to make sure everything is working properly. Then they've replaced a few things from time to time like we had both of our capacitors that works for both AC units out on the same weekend.

Description of Work: We had both of our AC units go out while we were on vacation. We called them to set up an appointment for when we returned, and they were right on time. 2 technicians showed up, diagnosed the problem, and had us back up and running within about an hour. They also checked all of the other parts of the system including the Freon. I have always used Modern for any AC service and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. Very honest group of people and extremely responsive when you have to have service.

 + -1 moreWe hired Modern Cooling and Heating upon the recommendation of a friend in the construction business. He warned us that they're pricey, but they always get the job done correctly. We went with a cheaper company first and regretted it. Modern Cooling and Heating showed up in a timely manner, performed a very thorough inspection (including crawling all around underneath the house for about an hour). They deliver their estimate very quickly and were generally pleasant and easy to do business with. It seemed pricey for a mere inspection and estimate of ductwork repair, but we were forewarned (they gave us the price before we hired them) and they got the job done in a very professional manner. The estimate provided at the end was also quite high but perhaps that's the price of quality.
Description of Work: Hired Modern Cooling & Heating to inspect and provide an estimate to replace/repair ductwork (not the heating or cooling units) in attic and crawlspace of pier & beam home we are in the process of purchasing.

 + -1 moreAs always he was very thorough with his inspection. He looked in the attics as well as in all the rooms. He checked the units outside as well. He didn't find anything today but he gave me a list of things to do so we can try and find the issue shortly.
Description of Work: Greg came to check out the ductwork of the house to see if that is where my dust issue is coming from. He looked throughout the house to see if he could find any issues.
