I CALLED AND DESCRIBED THE PROBLEM. THE LADY FELT IT WAS PROBABLY A WATER SUPPLY VALVE. THEY DIDN'T HAVE ONE, SO SHE SAID SHE WOULD ORDER ONE. IT WAS NO COST TO ME UNLESS IT WAS THE RIGHT PART. SHE ANTICIPATED 2 DAYS, SO I MADE THE APPOINTMENT. THEY CALLED A DAY EARLY, SAYING THEY HAD RECEIVED THE PART AND THAT THEY COULD COME BY THAT DAY, IF I WANTED. I AGREED. THE TECHNICIAN ARRIVED AS AGREED, AND DETERMINED THAT THE PART WAS WHAT IT NEEDED. HE REPLACED IT WITHIN 1/2 HOUR. HE WAS PERSONABLE, AND COURTEOUS. THE FEE WAS.$200.00.

Eric, the repair technician from E & M Home Service, arrived promptly and outlined several possible things that could cause the F9 error code and that it would be a process of elimination to determine the root cause. He started checking the fan and the filter behind it, which were the simplest, least expensive things to repair/replace. He found that the filter and the fan were coated with grease so they weren't providing sufficient ventilation. He replaced the filter & cleaned the fan, and so far the self-cleaning cycle runs to completion now. I appreciated the fact that Eric started with the simple, inexpensive fix, which turned out to be the solution. He was very professional and also very good about explaining what he was doing. I liked the fact that after he completed the repair & turned the power back on the oven, he also took time to verify that everything else was working correctly on my oven. Eric didn't have time to hang around for 4 hours while a full self-clean cycle ran to verify that his repair had fixed the F9 error code, so he asked me to run one that evening and call him the next day to let him know whether it ran OK or not. He was doubtful that his repair would fix it, but it ran successfully that evening and for 2 cycles since then.

Washer was too expensive to repair, so I bought a new one. I liked that the repairman (Eric) was honest when he said he could fix it, but it would cost as much as a new washer. The same repairman fixed the ice maker at the quoted price & even installed a new water hose I didn't expect. I was very satisfied with this company and would definitely hire them again.

Technician disassembled unit and declared that the sealed system (coils, condenser, etc.) was shot and would cost more to replace than the unit itself. So we need a new fridge. Nonetheless, the freezer continued to work and did get back down below zero. Tech had expressed dismay at how "fancy" and "complicated" our six-year-old GE unit was, and so since he sounded a bit intimidated by the whole thing, I sought a second opinion with a rival firm who agreed with my amateur diagnosis that the fan (and thermostat and damper, as it turned out) needed replacing. Which ended up being about $1500 less than I would have had to spend to replace an otherwise perfectly good/new unit.

Washing machine was leaking water in front, we suspected water pump unaware how expensive it would be, but we knew we did not want to buy a new washer at this time. Called, scheduled for following day, arrived on time, diagnosed problem within 5 minutes, replaced water pump and machine is working perfectly. Eric was extremely professional, answered all of our questions, provided guidance above and beyond our expectations. Highly recommend them.

Panicked that my dryer went out I searched Angie's List on Sunday and requested an appointment with E & M. Lis responded on Sunday and took the initiative to suggest alternative times (earlier) to get the repairs done.

Technician arrived within specified window.  A dispatcher called to let me know when he was 20 minutes out.  The technician was courteous (removed shoes) and efficient.  The appliance was found to be in working order so I was only charged for the call.

Terry was the Engineer that came out with one of his colleagues. Service was excellent - on time, professional and efficient. Old appliances were removed without issue (even though the double oven was extremely heavy and bulky) and the new installs were tested after completion. Recommend E & M thoroughly

My refrigerator was leaking water and E&M Home Service was prompt, effective and professional. They were in and out in an hour and located our problem. My fridge no longer leaks. Will definitely use them again if we have other appliances that malfunctions! Great service

I had an appointment for 12 to 2 pm on a Saturday. The technician called around 10:30 am and said he could come earlier which was actually better for my schedule. He was very careful about removing a screw that was rusted in and when he finished the repair he explained that he did not tighten it all the way because he didn't want the screw to break off. And he took off the fabric softener dispenser for me because I had not been able to remove it. I was very pleased with the service and glad I didn't have to take off of work during the week.
