They were great!  They showed up on time, were polite and friendly, and were very careful with my heavy, old piano.  I thought the price was very reasonable.  I plan to use them again when I move.

Both pianos were moved safely and without damage, for which I am grateful. However, the movers from Cousins used my heavy quilted piano cover to wrap the Mason and Hamlin A grand piano, and it has been lost.
I was not aware that the interstate mover would unwrap the piano at Cousins warehouse, set it up, and re-wrap it with their own blankets. Otherwise I would have insisted that Cousins use their blankets and leave my quilted cover with me to move. When the pianos were delivered to my new home in North Carolina, my quilted cover for the grand piano was missing. The interstate mover's customer service explained that they would have set up the piano at the local warehouse to verify its condition and that they would only use their own blankets to wrap the piano.
I have made many calls to Cousins to follow up on the location of my piano cover. First, the movers should have wrapped my piano in their own blankets rather than use my cover. The employee that I have spoken to repeatedly has told me that she needs to visit the warehouse personally to search for my cover. While she is pleasant over the phone, she has not been proactive about contacting me or about completing this search.  At one point she said that Cousins would order me a new cover if they could not find mine. In our most recent conversation, she implied that there was no proof that Cousins movers actually took my cover. I have made numerous follow-up calls since January and have lost patience.
I am sorry to give a negative review, especially since my pianos did get moved safely. However, replacing my piano cover will cost more than $200.
(Note that my husband's name is on the Angie's List account. My last name is Bristow.)

Went well. Piano movers arrived on time and were polite and efficient. One of the two was obviously training because the other kept giving him pointers. The exchange was relatively easy, but there was no damage to our house or to the piano!

The movers themselves were extremely knowledgable and careful. They encountered a stripped bolt when replacing one of the legs and they took their time to repalce the bolt and make sure it was secure. A company, like Cousins, that treats other people's possessions with respect can be trusted. I highly recommed these folks and would use them again in a heartbeat!

Cousins moved a baby grand piano to my niece's house and my great-grandmother's carved and scrolled upright piano to my house. Cousins takes their piano moving seriously. The piano was wrapped and moved in an air tight, climate-controlled looking van. But what was particularly impressive was the movers themselves. Besides being more than willing to move and angle the piano to the just right position in the room, the movers know pianos. They recognized that the old upright is an excellent instrument--better than most of the baby grands they see these days, said one mover after fingering a few scales. A company, like Cousins, that treats other people's possessions with respect can be trusted.

Great service. The pick-up and delivery were both performed within the time-frame given. They work quickly and carefully, I'd bet it didn't take them 10 min to get the piano into my house and place it where I wanted it.
