Paul and the people he works with are consummate professionals that work with their clients and their budgets, communicate extremely well, are very flexible, prompt, and dedicated to their craft. They are top of the line and I would recommend anyone hire them for any general work in their home!

Cabinet front panels for new SubZero refrigerator. Paul Alvarez was very quick to respond; pleasant over phone and by text gave me his price by looking at photos I sent him for this small job. He picked the panels up-sanded & painted them and delivered the panels back to me all in one weekend. It was a good experience and I would definitely use him again!

Beyond my expectations!! The professionalism and workmanship are the best I've experienced. Always punctual, detail-oriented, and adaptable to each problem we encountered all with an incredibly positive attitude. Not only is Paul the "can do" contractor, he is the "can do it right." We spent years and several horrible experiences with contractors in my attempts to repair my mother's home from the 2021 snowstorm. That is until Paul rescued us. Paul completed an entire reconstruction of our kitchen with custom cabinets, including wall removal and beam installation. We trusted him with our design, plumbing and electrical issues and he did an excellent job. Not only is he a master at his craft, he construes complete professionalism at all times. The thing that I appreciated most about Paul, was that he showed up. Every single day he was the first one here and the last to leave, along with his son, Justin. Not many general contractors hold themselves to that caliber. If we had any questions, concerns, or changes, they were addressed immediately and efficiently. He helped us think outside the box and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. He talked me off many a ledge and even helped me with paint colors. This was a lot of money for us but he made much less stressful than it could have been. I trusted him and his team and I'm so glad I did. 5 stars!

He diagnosed the problem almost immediately, and repaired it in a way that you didn’t know if anything was done. Matched the brick/stonework, shingles, paint, etc. Terrific job!

It is hard to describe the high level of professionalism and execution in the task set before them after the storm on 6/15/2023 that seemed to pick and choose which house would be spared and which would be utterly destroyed. Mine was the latter. Alvarez Painting Co. has spoiled me to the point that I don’t foresee any future home projects being done by anybody else than this Company/Family. I have had my homes repaired after hail, toilet floods, storms, etc.; more than once (It’s Texas) and not a single company in the past has exceeded my expectations in the way that Alvarez Painting Co. has. To say that TLC is their mantra is an understatement. Several days I observed his team work on our home. Paul’s true goal seems to be that if his own mother would not be satisfied, then neither is he. His team loves him and they perform at the same level of quality and professionalism that he does. His standards are higher not just than a homeowner, but rather higher than anybody in the industry. His knowledgebase is both broad and detailed. Paul and his team’s ability to detect, identify and repair items both for the homeowner and the insurance company is unparalleled. I am fortunate that my wife and kids love our home more than ever. Paul and his team of subcontractors did a wonderful job. They were always on time and cleaned up at the end of the day. Their work was excellent in every manner.

The short version: a poor paint job and terrible customer service from a company run by a bully. Do not trust this company with your home. Pictures included in my Google review since I can't upload them here. Alvarez Painting (owner Paul, his son, and another employee) spent 2 days in April 2019 painting the ~20 doors in our home, as well as several doorframes and 2 rooms of baseboards. They did a rough job from the start, with thin and missed spots on all of the doors, as well as entire sections of doorframes that were missed completely or missed their second coat of paint. I noticed some of these issues on our final review and spent about an hour with the son getting things touched up; Paul spent that time rushing his son along and yelling at the other employee, as well as hurrying me to stop. I wasn't thrilled about the shade of white that the paint turned out (had been almond, they'd repainted using Extra White from Sherwin Williams but it still looked yellow and Paul said that was the best it would be). I paid them about $1800. After they left, I noticed more thin spots, the missed doorframes, etc and contacted Paul about them fixing these issues. He said they would come out after Memorial Day but completely ignored me after I tried multiple times to get something scheduled. I disputed <$200 of the painting charge with my credit card company to compensate for the work I'd have to put in to fixing the missed & poorly done spots but didn't dispute the whole charge because at the time I felt that would be unfair. In November 2019, I finally found the time to touch up the doors myself. I used the exact same paint type that they had, but wasn't able to use the exact can of paint because they'd left it open in the garage and it dried out. I did the touchups and immediately realized that what I'd just applied was a much whiter color than they'd applied. I had 2 other painting companies out to give me an assessment and estimate to fix - they both said that the paint had been watered down or otherwise improperly applied, and that's why there was a color difference. I contacted Paul again about getting a refund, as I would have to repaint everything they'd done because there were now whiter painted areas on every surface. He called me a liar and lied about how long they spent at my house (it was only 2 days, he said they were there for 5 and came back out). I wound up repainting those doors and trim myself, but did have one of the other painting companies out to repaint our front door the same Extra White color. For the record, their paint job came out as white as expected, with none of the discoloration of Alvarez Painting's handiwork.

Paul and his crew were fabulous! On time, great quality, great work ethic and a fair price! Best contractor I have used in Texas in the 20 years we’ve lived here!! Highly recommend!!

Very well, pleased with the outcome!

We first used Paul for painting our complete home interior ten years ago when we found him on Angie's List. He did such a good job that we subsequently used him for exterior painting, cabinet resurfacing and more interior painting. His company has grown to include more services and we will certainly be using him more often as our needs change and as our home ages. We heartily recommend Paul!

Excellent. Noe gave me an estimate on the same day I contacted them. We scheduled the work a few days later, and by the middle of the next week, the work was completed. I was pleased with the work, the promptness, their clean-up, and their desire and ability to make everything right. I have recommended them to several neighbors and would hire them again.

It went well. Alvarez's quote was the most reasonable of any of the companies we looked into, and they did a great and efficient job. He and his team were very nice and respectful. I would recommend them.
