 + -1 moreI called Ace Powder Coating to arrange a consultation. Jocko answered and said I could come by right away. He looked at my part and we discussed the specific details of how the stand works so that he would be sure to mask all the necessary locations. Jocko right away had said he had done a similar part about 6 months prior, which happened to be for a mutual friend of mine. We agreed on the price and a one-week turn time. Jocko also gave me a quick tour of the shop and showed some of the other jobs he was working on at the time. That night, less than 7 hours after I had dropped off my part, Jocko called to tell me he had finished my job early just in case I wanted to use it over the weekend on a gig. I picked up the part the next day and it looked great. All the masking was done as indicated and he had covered it with a plastic sheeting to help protect it on the ride home. If you choose to work with Ace Powder Coat, which I definitely recommend, make sure you call in advance before heading to the shop as their hours may fluctuate slightly depending on the work they have scheduled. This was never a problem for me, but only because I had called ahead and thus had this explained to me after meeting with them.
Description of Work: Jocko from Ace Powder Coating put a white gloss powder coating on my custom made microphone stand.

Description of Work: I had an antique glider that has great sentimental value. The glider could not be used becasueit had so much rust and peeling paint, that if you sat on it you would cut yourself. I called an auto body shopabout painting the glider, they suggested I powder coat the piece. I found Ace Powder Coating, which was close tomy home. Over the phone, the owner questioned wether I wanted to spend the money to powder coat something so old, but after seeing the glider the understood the value of the piece. The glider looks brand new! He saved and powder coated the hardware. A few of the bolts are no longer made. Although it was a little more expensive than originally quoted, it was about half of what I had expected to pay. The piecerequired a great deal of sandblasting. He told me the piece would take one week and he was exactly on target. He suggested I bring blankets to help protectthe piece in transport. They were very careful about loading and securing the glider for it's trip home. I witnessed some of his other work in his shop and was very impressed with the work. I would recommend thiscompany to anyone and would definitely use them again.
