The AC worked too hard all summer, running way too much. Even when it was cooler, it ran a bunch.
This year, we called Vanderford Air and their tech came out and said we were low on refrigerant. He put some in and it now runs like a champ, and it's JULY and very hot.
I can't be sure, but I don't see how the unit is running so much better now than it ever has. I think it needed refrigerant last year and West Bay just didn't catch it. It is just not logical that it was full of refrigerant last year and ran so much, and now it runs much less.
For that reason, I'll not call West Bay again. Again, the tech was a nice enough guy, I just think he missed the low refrigerant.
