Gulf Side Overhead Doors kept us in the loop as to when our new garage door arrived in their shop and when the installation crew was arriving. There were no changes in the pricing between the quoted prices at the time of the quotation, and there were no extra fees for chipping away concrete to make room for the new hardware or for accommodating non-level concrete and non-square existing door framing. The installation crew was efficient and obviously experienced at installing many other garage doors. All the work was conducted in a safe and professional manner. The crew was patient with fully answering any technical questions that were asked about the equipment or the process of installing the equipment. They took one small break between installing the door and installing the motor to eat a late lunch. The entire process at the house took about four hours. All the old equipment and packaging from the new equipment was hauled off in the installation truck at no extra charge. There were extra charges that I accepted for asking for an extra car controller and an external controller that weren't in the original quotation. All the controllers were programmed and tested to make sure they controlled the door opening and closing properly. Their last act was to clean up the work area trying to make sure no extra bolts or nuts were left behind.
The painting contractor who arranged the competitive garage door bid was impressed enough to consider taking on Gulf Side Overhead Door as their new garage door contractor. For some reason, I was especially impressed that all of the prices that Gulf Side Overhead door quotes already include any applicable sales taxes.
