This is an every couple of month visit for one of our kitties who has trouble grooming. No appointment was necessary just a time slot during the day when the vet techs are least busy. In and out in about 15 minutes.
In general we think the Vets/Staff at GVC are the best. We have used the clinic since 1995 and they have seen us through the years with a total15 kitties. Three of these had single lobe hyperthyroids and Dr. Henderson at GVC is one of the few vets that will perform surgery instead of radioactive treatment. We even drove one of our cats from Minnesota (where we were temporarily based for a few years) back to Galveston to have Dr. Henderson perform the surgery.
During all of our time with GVC we have had to put down some of our oldest kitties when medically there was no other option. Dr. Henderson and Dr. Knupple along with the staff have shown the utmost care and compassion during these times. The entire group is first rate and a pleasure to work with. Because of these folks we have given our cats a long and wonderful life with ages that ranged all the way to 23 years of age.

Dr. Guillory and all staff went above and beyond to save our dog's life. It wasn't inexpensive, but when you see your pet as a family member, what amount is really too much?
We have used Galveston Veterinary Clinic for many years. They are very compassionate and caring of your pets. I highly recommend them.

We've been clients of GVC for about six years. Dr. Henderson is a thoughtful, professional, kind veterinarian who specializes in exotic animals - exactly what we need for our ferret furkids (and our kitties get the best treatment, too!). He has always provided sincere discourse on our pets' health, whether just a checkup or an emergency situation. He saved one of our ferrets several years ago when the little guy mysteriously stopped breathing several times before we were able to get him to the clinic; unfortunately, the ferret wasn't able to walk again because of the trauma, but he lived as comfortably as possible for a couple more years. When we've had to have a pet put down (ferrets especially have a tendency to develop terrible diseases, and they don't live more than a few years as a rule), Dr. Henderson has been honest about the pet's chances, and very kind if it is determined to ease the animal from this life and into the next. (It speaks highly of him that he also provides services to the exotic animals at Moody Gardens, the local zoological park). If he doesn't immediately know an answer, he'll research it and contact you with options as quickly as possible.He has an excellent staff that makes you feel welcome, and they go to great lengths to help your pet feel at ease. They don't make you feel foolish for treating your furkids as members of the family; they accept it as a matter of course.another

All of the employees at Galveston Veterinarian are professional and experienced, When you walk in the door, you are greeted with a friendly and sincere smile.

It was great. They've always been completely professional. I have a difficult cat and they've always dealt with her personality and put up with her.

They are like a family doctor for us. They are very friendly and love our pet. They are accommodating and very caring. They are punctual and do not make you wait long. They take care of your pets like their own. We like their services and will use the same in future.

Our relationship with this service and with Dr. Henderson is an on-going relationship. It has gone extremely well from our first visit some 4 years ago and I can see no reason why it won't continue.
