Home Building
This contractor grossly underbid construction bid. Dirt work bid at 1500$ in contract, actual cost 18,000$. Not including concrete pillars and drilling expense not included in bid for home loan. paid 5000$ out of pocket to help cover expense. Gave this contractor a detailed image of what we wanted our home to look like, emails, and conversations. Now framing is complete. Time to paint. Contractor states that the bid includes a one color paint. If we want trim paint it will be 9000$ out of pocket. This contractor either grossly underbid the cost of construction to get the contract, or is grossly mismanaging money.
