Installed one zone that was already covered by an existing zone. I caught that to late to do anything about it. He checked entire existing system beforehand so there is no excuse for that error on his part. System worked approximately two weeks when one zone stopped working. Schobel claimed there was a one year warranty on all their work. Called 1st or 2nd of July (been traveling extensively and we had been having lots of rain) and explained problem. It took him two weeks to respond to my call. It also took him over two weeks to respond to my first call and at that time he gave what seemed a valid excuse for being so late in returning my initial call that I decided to give him a chance. Wrong decision on my part. When he did return my call about the problem of one zone not working (remember two weeks later) he stated he would be out to fix the problem the next day. That was July 16th. Haven't seen him nor has he returned my phone calls. The last one I admit I wasn't very nice about. My absolute recommendation regarding this outfit is DO NOT USE. I finally got a call back the week of Aug 2nd. He told me that their voicemail server (Sprint) had been in error and that they (Schobel) had just received messages dating all the way back to July. He made an appointment to fix the problems I had and showed up as promised. He didn't have the right parts as it was something unexpected so he said he would be back the next day (Sunday) and fix it. He did as he said he would and now everything is working fine. Assuming the problem with Sprint was real (and I believe it well could be as I have experienced the same problems with Verizon on occasion) I would use him again.
