RMC Solar Screens, Blinds and Shutters

The job was done very promptly and professionally. The solar screens worked very well and were very well priced. The windows were odd sizes and the screens were custom made. I would highly recommend this company.

Every thing looks great and Robert did everything exactly as we had designed it.

Robert was very professional, responsive, and a pleasure to deal with. Installing these screens is a difficult task requiring a lot of precision. There were several challenges with the factory not getting the dimensions exactly right, but Robert got them all sorted out and came back as often as necessary to perfect the installation. We are very happy with these screens -- they provide a lot of sun protection and privacy.

They were nice to work with and they will come back for small touch up work later on. They need to put trim around one of the windows. The owner came to do the estimate and the workers were extremely nice and good to work with.

This was the second time we used this company. Robert installed plantation shutters for the original owner, and we had additional shutters installed a couple years ago. We called him because of his previous good work. This recent situation was for a long, narrow window in the powder room door that opens to the backyard. He brought sample books, suggested just what I was looking for (and couldn't describe very well), which was perfect for this window - thick enough material to eliminate shadows at night, as well as let daylight through, and be able to draw the blind upward from the bottom of the window. The blind was ordered and he came to install it. The process was simple, quick and neatly done. Problem solved!

We found this company through an Angie's List search. We did not need anything special, just basic 2and quot; faux-wood blinds for the interior of our new home, and then some solar screens on our windows at the rear of the house that face due-west.
We scheduled the initial appointment for the measurements and quote, and there was no charge for this. Robert came out and was very polite and personable, and did not mind questions about how to best cover/handle the 6 large windows in our living room that face west. He gave us various options, made sure we knew the approximate cost of the options, and did not balk at making a recommendation about what he felt was best based on the assessment of our home. And, his recommendation was actually the less expensive option.
He had the quote to us within 24 hours, and was very helpful when we realized he had left a couple of window treatments off the initial quote - the modified quote was back to us within about 2 hours. We were hoping to have the blinds installed between Christmas and New Year's and Robert was able to make it happen.
We won't (hopefully) need anything else for a while, but will happily use his company again and recommend them to anybody else who needs his services!

I have had shutters installed in other homes, and this was by far the best experience! ( Before ordering shutters on the internet - you should get some bids from local dealers - you don't have to to do measuring yourself and you don't pay extra for shipping, installation, or taking down old window treatments!) AND you get better quality and better-looking shutters!)

Robert Campbell (RMC) came to our house and went over options for shutters for two rooms. Poly shutters in a z-frame were selected. Compared to other estimates his costs were mid-range, about that of the big box stores, but less than a specialty window treatment store and more than another individual contractor. After agreeing to his proposal another trip was made to get measurements and ensure the right products were being utilized. One-half of the estimate was collected. Two weeks later the shutters were ready and installed when we were available. The odd shaped bay window in the kitchen caused a problem. While the meaurements were OK according to the installer/carpenter, they did not completely specify what was needed to get them to fit the recessed 3-sided window. A week later the corrected shutter was installed. The product quality and z-frame design are very good. This is our 3rd shutter installation from 3 different suppliers. This was the best. Work was done efficiently. Clean up was good. Got the invoice for the rest for the second half of the job in a few days by e-mail. Robert called the day of the installation to ensure everything was OK.

Amazing work ethic! Robert was prompt, courteous, friendly and knowlegable. He had great selection of products. The materials were either ready on time or ahead of time. He was happy to leave his samples with us for a couple days to make decisions. Best of all, a year later, a couple of our blinds needed repair and he's replacing both blinds. His quote was probably 30% less than another popular blind company in Katy. We had a totally satisfying experience with RMC!

Robert was very considerate and professional and did a very good quality job at a good price. As others have mentioned, we will certainly use his services again if/when we purchase another house. The results are very smart look on the outside of the house and noticeably cooler on the inside of the house. The screens also cut down the glare inside for a more relaxing environment. We should have done this a while ago, and to think in two summers the savings in electricity costs will have paid for the screens...

I called Robert to set up an appointment to get an estimate for solar screens. He promptly arrived at the scheduled time. Robert measured the windows himself and made suggestions. He was courteous and professional. Robert followed up later to confirm color we had selected. He came out a few days later and installed the solar screens himself. My husband and I are very pleased with the quality of the work, as well as the quality of service provided. We will definitely call him again should we decide to install shutters also in the near future.

If you wanna talk reasonable your not going to find better that Robert. I recommend him all the time. Robert measures everything himself. All his shutters look like name brands. But you get them locally and for half price. He'll tell where you want the sunlight. He really helps with your electric bill because of where to put blinds. His blinds are absolutely beautiful
