The company representative was consistently punctual and polite but initially misdiagnosed the cause the of the leaks and was ultimately unable to repair the roof leak after several attempts.

My contact with Hudson Bay was Mark who was consistently punctual to appointments and very communicative throughout the process. Mark initially diagnosed the cause of two leaks as an incorrectly installed water heater vent. Mark and his colleagues removed portions of the vent, secured and sealed that area of the roof, and sealed portions of the vent with caulk at a charge of $395.

However, the same leaks appeared after the next rain. Mark was quick to come back out and this time sealed yet another portion of the vent with caulk. This did fix one of the leaks.

Mark sent his colleague to try and repair the second leak by sealing a portion of the roof with some sort of compound. This didn't work and Mark returned again to replace some of the shingles. After this failed to stop the leak, I called to inform Mark that I would pursue the problem with another roofer.

Mark never asked for any compensation beyond the initial $395.

We had a leak in our kitchen and found out squirrels had chewed all our lead jacks. They replaced all lead jacks and some shingle that had nail holes in them. Painted and caulked all vents. Mark was very professional, great attitude. They took picture of the roof and where the problems were so we could see them. They said we had at least another 10 years on the roof (which we would not have known because we just moved in). He even went out of his way to change some lights we had on one of our vaulted ceilings because he had a 10 ft ladder. We were very happy with this company and will use them again.

Mark was fantastic. I called and asked for an estimate. He came out that day, and emailed a quote that night. Using a standard sheet, he marked all of the items to be added (flashing, vents, ridge vent, starter shingles, etc---the whole nine yards). Quoted the 25 year and and quot;lifetime roofand quot;. We went with the lifetime roof because it was less than a 10% difference in cost--labor intensive.
We selected the color, and then scheduled the work. Rain stopped the workers the first day, but they went all out and finished the roof timely. The crew was very polite and patient with my questions as I observed the work. Very satisfied with the quality of the shingles, and the work done.

I HAD SEVERAL BIDS FROM WELL KNOWN ROOFERS IN THE AREA AND WAS DISAPPOINTED WITH HOW MUCH I WAS GOING TO HAVE TO SPEND TO RE-ROOF A HOUSE I WAS SELLING. MY REALTOR RECOMMENDED THIS FIRM AND THEY CAME IN 15 - 20% LOWER IN PRICE FOR EQUAL QUALITY.
