ACE Handyman Services Fort Bend County

Had Ace of Fort Bend County come out to build our pergola. They did an awesome job! Impressed with the craftsmen's knowledge and efficiency. They are definitely a contractor that I trust. (I have been burned before) They communicated with me throughout the whole process, even when they were on their way. I will definitely use them again for other projects around the house.

Zach was extremely professional, showed up on time, was very informative and knowledgeable. Will definitely hire again.

Ace Handyman Services was hired to put up a wooden attic ladder that had been removed for ac unit installation. Brian their operations manager quoted us 1 person and we agreed I would assist the assigned technician as needed. When the technician Ryan arrived he indicated a second person would be assisting him, but we would not be charged for his services as he was an apprentice in training. Ryan arrived at 12:35 and I signed the estimate at 12:45 with him completing the work by 1:50. The second person did not arrive until 1:15 and was gone by 1:45, worked less than 30 minutes. Brian also showed up to the project, but unsure why The actual work by Ryan and his apprentice took less than an hour as we spent time waiting for the apprentice who was late. Upon check out, they charged me for an hour and a half, Ryan indicated he arrived at 12:30 and finished at 2;00 which was incorrect. I should not have paid them but the apprentice did assist Ryan and it might have taken longer if there was only one person and I was not provided the opportunity to assist him.. Once the project was complete I examined the nail holes on the trim and they did not appear correct, the nails actually came through the trim. I called the office and Michelle, office assistant, had me send pictures so Brian could review. I had to prompt them for status and when they could come inspect. I am also unsure if he even looked at the pictures or discussed the issues with Michelle as he seemed confused about the situation when he came a few days later to review. When he examined, Brian agreed the nails were poorly inserted by Ryan and would be fixed under the labor warranty. He also fixed a gap in the door that existed from a bolt screwed too tight against the wood. While he was at the house I spoke to Brian about the 30 minute labor overcharge and he agreed that the technician Brad now assigned to the work, could caulk and paint the trim to account for this time. He indicated Brad was one of their best painters and would be assigned to complete the warranty work and caulking/painting . However when Michelle called to book the follow up appointment she indicated Brad would spend 30 minutes fixing the trim nails and caulking. This is not what I had agreed with Brian and why would a time limit be placed on fixing their mistake under the labor warranty? Her text communication was very conflicting, so she told me to call Brian. I declined as he did not adhere to his verbal agreements so provided my mailing address for future correspondence. Since no one contacted us to resolve this issue, we will hire someone else to fix their work and caulk/paint. They had their payment and we're not concerned about correcting their mistakes.. Truthfully I did not want them to return as I was not confident in their work and the repair may have resulted in a larger mess. So please be warned.. if you hire ACE handyman services Fort Bend, Fulshear, you may get sub par work that requires correction, be overcharged for services, provided a time limit on labor warranty repairs and an unprofessional untrustworthy staff (including owner Chance Burton) who do not stand by their customer satisfaction guarantee. We would not recommend this company or hire them to even change a light bulb..

Very professional and explained the solutions to the problem that I had. Showed up on time and stayed until dark to finish. I will hire again.
