As a few reviewers mentioned, JD was a really good contractor and was relatively professional. I did not have a designer and made many of the decisions myself, which was important to me. The price was OUTRAGEOUS for the amount of work needed to do, and the work took 4 months! Ridiculous amount of time, with ONE person, JD doing most of the work. Dale was too cheap to bring in Brett for more than 2 days to get this SMALL amount of work done, so we lived in chaos for 4 months. 4 MONTHS for what was in essence a bathroom reno (no doubt he blamed us for being gone for 6 days on vacation--wow! Yea, he complained to someone that we were gone for 6 days, so that is why it took so long! HA!). Further, we live in an upper middle class bedroom community in North Dallas, and Dale was more interested in catering to higher end (the few he had) customers, and basically ignored my communications or didn't even READ the emails I sent to him. He was in complete chaos with an Admin that left him (due to his oversight)---complete chaos. He didn't even have a TILE person to handle the bathroom tiling--and had to go to Angie's List to get a tile company! Really??? I can do that! What were we paying for!? Don't get me started on the Tile Company--and quot;Joann Tile Companyand quot;---it felt like she was doing us a favor by coming to complete the work!! The experience with Dale and the Tile Company was awful. Talk about lack of respect or customer service. The tile I picked was over 23 dollars sq. ft. and the tile company did not have experience with glass subway tile! What??? We fully expected to be able to return quite a bit of the tile, but Joann's guy messed up so many trying to cut them, we only had ONE box left over! We were paying over $65,0000 for a bathroom reno, placing 3 beams in the ceiling and opening a wall for a closet. Really??? We were willing to pay whatever to get what we want, but the lack of respect (he called Joann and quot;the dragon ladyand quot;) for my decision-making (I pushed to move the shower door in another area--they refused, and the body sprays wound up spraying right through the opening between the shower door! Told them but would not listen--they know best with our money, right??). I have so much more I could complain about relative to Dale, I would be on here all day. Suffice to say, for the price and service and TIME (4 months!!!) , NOT worth it--try other contractors, please. Oh, and the painting of one bathroom, one bedrooom, one closet and two hallways took 4 weeks! There is much more, and I will give more if need be but...... My goodness......never ever ever again.

The core team of Dale, JD and Brett are outstanding. They are professional, responsive and do their best to meet and exceed expectations. JD is a very good project manager and Brett is the best carpenter and contractor in which we have worked. His expertise and precision is unmatched. We developed good relationships with each of them and enjoyed having them in our home. The team took blueprints from our architect (who was no longer on the team) and made improvements as needed. They worked very well with our kitchen design company (Ornare), having everything ready for them to install the cabinets, shelves and counter tops on time. We were pleased with the plumbing, electrical and texture subcontractors. Ultimately, the painting looks great, however, the subcontractor sent people who did sloppy work that had to be redone. Having Brett onsite to enforce the rework maintained the quality we expected. The painters were also frequently late or didn't show up as planned. The only area where we were not fully satisfied was the front porch. The concrete subcontractor poured the integrated color concrete when it was too hot outside. The concrete dried too quickly and the trowel work was not impressive. Techniques were used to improve the outcome and while it looks good from afar, up close it did not turn out as well as we expected. We have received numerous compliments on all the work and are very happy with our home.

The work went well. We are happy with the results as well as the follow up service which has been consistently attentive and helpful.

We are extremely pleased with our home remodel headed by Dale Travis. Dale is easy to work with, easy to talk to and was available to answer our questions or concerns. Dale's crew was honest and did a fantastic job. The workmanship by master carpenter (J.D.) was outstanding. The guys who did the taping, bedding and painting (Alan, Jose and Mauro) were also exceptional. The bricklayer (Mike) and patio guy (Cole) also did a great job. We would definitely use Travis and Travis again and have been recommending them to our friends and neighbors.
