Tidal Wave Custom Pools

We reached out to 6 pool companies and met with each, Mike and Mandy from Tidalwave gave us our vision in 3D @ our house with JR, we felt good about the project and gave them the go ahead. We met with JR and Derek. Derek was our go to guy going forward, Derek always kept us apprised of work and city inspections, etc. He was awesome and always answered any questions we came up with! We are extremely happy with Tidalwave Customer pools. They did a top notch job and created a backyard paradise for my family.

My wife and I purchased a home in Frisco, TX with the hope of building a pool and outdoor kitchen in our backyard. We went through the process of looking for local pool companies in the area. After researching all the options, we took bids from a few builders. From the beginning, JR and his design team (Mike Eva) did an outstanding job walking us through the process and helping us understand our options, the price, and timeline. We decided to use Tidal Wave and began building in the summer of 2024. Throughout our experience, JR and his build team (Derek Richey) did exactly what we asked and helped us deal with all that comes with a major construction project. They finished our pool and outdoor kitchen quicker than we expected and with no major issues. We are excited about what they built for us. I would highly recommend JR and his Tidal Wave team.

I LOVE MY POOL!! Tidal Wave Custom Pools made our dream of a backyard oasis come true! They took our ideas and made them even better. JR designed & brought to life a beautiful and functional space for all of our family & friends to enjoy. JR, the owner & Derek, the project manager are a magnificent duo! They were both so great to work with throughout this whole process. They're both super knowledgeable at every stage and bring a level of expertise that I was very impressed with. I loved being able to ask them all the questions. They were available anytime a call or text was made, day or night or weekend. Once the day came to turn on the pool, Derek showed up bright and early to get everything going. He is like the pool equipment guru. He literally knows EVERYTHING! I'm so glad we picked these guys to work with. I will refer them every chance I get.

From start to finish and beyond they are A+. I’ve read and heard all the horror stories of builders and so I was cautious and Probabaly a little annoying at first. But JR was patient with me and got me comfortable. After a lot of back and forth on design and our wishes were drawn up. He is a few suggestions. We took some but he never pressured us to do more. However in hindsight I wish we did them all. The pool has been fantastic and it had a few hiccups but they came out and fixed it all ASAP. They went above and beyond at all points and I can’t thank them enough.

I have had a great experience with Tidal Wave Custom Pools. They are fast, efficient and provide an outstanding pool build. We have done several projects together and I only plan to use them going forward. Overall a great experience and I give them a 10/10 and my highest recommendation!

I am a custom homebuilder with 22 years experience. I rarely do reviews. I hired a very reputable pool builder who came and dug a hole, let it cave in, and it sat for months. JR came in and fixed his mess. JR was incredible. He was fast, did exactly what he said he would do, came in under budget, and always responded to calls and texts promptly. His honesty and integrity are rare in this industry. So glad I found him to use on future projects!!

JR was very knowledgeable and great at answering any questions. His design ideas were top notch. He is super responsive and communicative. Everything you would want for such a large investment. 10/10 would recommend!
