Sound Perfection

The initial job went well but beware they will not return your call. We have been a major customer of theirs and have called and asked several times if they would come out and do more in our home. My husband has called them 4 times within this last week to try and get them to come out with no response. He flat out asked them if they would like his business and the secretary promised they would get back to us with no avail. We will be moving on to another company. I would advise the same for anyone else.

The installers acted as if I were a bother to them when asking questions as to how the system worked. THe explanation of how to use the system was terrible at best and I have had alarm systems for years. Being new to the area I realized I the city required an alarm permit only after I called 911 for assistance and was told the police deparment would not respond (good thing it was not life or death). Hello.......alarm company could you not have informed your client of this? I am now paying two alarm companies for service because I don't trust Sound Perfections service, better safe than sorry.

I have been dealing with this provider for several weeks now. They mounted our TV sets, but said that a different department dealt with the alarm system. It took 4 calls to get a callback to set an appointment for activating the alarm system. The alarm service told us that there were 3 methods of connecting the alarm - via phone land line, via T-1 or via wireless Internet. We wanted the T-1 as we do not use a land line in the house. The technician did not have the cable to do this on his truck and promised to return in a few days. He did return but in the process of setting up the T-1, did not tell us in advance that he was cutting off our wired Internet network throughout the house. He told me that I would need a new switch with more ports, but I thought that meant he was using up the last port. Then I discovered that the wired Internet was down. So, we bought a switch, but did not know how to install it (there were bundles of wires coming out of the wall and it was impossible to know which went where). He said put the "curly blue wire" in the box. I tried every blue wire, but it did not work. No one told us that we needed an additional ethernet cable to go with the switch. We called again and they said they would send someone to set it up the next day. No one came and no one called. We called again and eventually my partner was able to get it to work by talking with them on the phone and getting another enthernet cable.
On the TV setup, they said we should have a blue-ray disc player, but we had a new smart TV that actually doesn't require any additional box to do the things we told them we were interested in doing. I feel that an audio-visual company should know these things.
Also, my partner overheard one of their technicians talking with their receptionist and the receptionist said that our project was too small and we were not buying enough from them to make it worth the while. She also made derogatory comments about me.
It was a quite different experience than dealing with other audio-visual companies I have hired in the past.

This guys were great!! I had my media room equipment & security done by them. I still call them when I need help and they always walk me through it. I had several estimates and they were more than reasonable in their price. The prices were fair but I felt most comfortable with the products I was getting for what I wanted it for. They explained everything and answered all my questions without giving my the runaround. Straight answers.
