He hired a crew of workers, which installed the first line directly down the center of the hallway. They proceeded to install most of the floor in one direction. Then they want to the other side of the first line, but changed directions. The wood flooring material was a tongue and groove, so when they changed directions they made a groove to groove join. They then nailed from the top of the prefinished wood and tried to cover it up with some kind of wood filler. There were over 100 nails they tried to cover up. They also used an extremely cheap subflooring, which was not treated wood. Additionally, the subflooring was almost 3/4" it self, so when the woodfloor meets with the tile or carpet, there is a large drop off. Finally, they cut into the fireplace brink so the flooring would run under the brink. After a lot of work, I got Fransico to come out and repair the floor. He pulled up the floor, but they tried to charge me to reinstall the floor. I ended up having to try and reinstall the floor myself. Let's just say I'm not a professional, so it doesn't look any better. There was suppose to be a one year warranty on the floor, which I couldn't get the company to enforce.
Description of Work: Fransico Flores (owner) signed a contract to install a 3/4 hardwood floor; I bought the materials from Floor & Decour separately.
