They took two broken chairs and made them look like new. And then we bought two other chairs unfinished and they finished them and made them look like the other two, you can't tell the difference. It was an antique white finish, he did an amazing job. It was cheaper than buying the chairs finished. They don't make the chair anymore, I had 6 of them now I have 8. You bring the stuff to him. He works out of his house and has a trailer for his work. He's just a guy, but a guy that I would now use nobody else. He finished it as promised and I think that's as good as it gets.

I had two antique pieces, a dresser and a nightstand, that needed refinishing. The dresser drawers were very hard to open and close and had been in my parent's home for over 50 years. One of the pieces was faded from the sun, and the other's hardware knobs were stripped. I couldn't be happier. Because they were family heirlooms, I was hesitant in who I hired, but I saw such positive reviews about this company. He did a great job, very professional, and the drawers open with ease. I only wish my Mom was still alive to see them, they have been restored to their original condition. I can't recommend him enough.

We're getting a 100+ year old rocking chair ready to give as a gift, and the arms kept separating from the frame thanks to the wood & glue drying out in the Texas heat and low indoor humdity.
Steven managed to take the chair apart to reinforce the joinery on the arms, and added screws to stabilize the arms & back together. He was able to patch & match the screw holes very well. The chair feels much more stable and solid now.

It went great. Steven and his assistance showed up to pickup the furniture as scheduled. They were really professional and knowledgeable about what need to be done. He was upfront and honest. I was able to text him pictures before hand, and his quote was very close when saw the actual state of the furniture and what would need to be done. They were very quick getting it back to us as well. Would highly recommend them. Delivery was arranged and timely. The furniture looks amazing. Could not be happier.

Steven did an amazing job! He repaired and refinished my grandparents dresser and it looks beautiful. My father had originally glued it together and stained it almost black. I can't believe that it could look so good. I would definitely go to him again for anything that needed repaired or refinished. 

He did it on time, as budgeted, and with solid workmanship. Yes, I am considering him to do the same for all the chairs for this dining room set, and i would recommend him to others.

Excellent! Heath refinishing is a very professional service, and the quality exceeds expectation. This is the third repair refinishing work he has done for us since moving to Dallas area in July. The tables recently refinished literally looked like high end quality solid wood furniture. We paid less for repairing and refinishing all three pieces for much less than the purchase of one end table of much less quality. We have had a queen bed rail repaired from moving damage and an antique chest of drawers with extensive damage to the wood, restored and refinished. We will definitely use this company in the future and highly recommend this company.

Steven and company did a marvelous job on all aspects of a sizaable number of projects.  The two dining room sets he refinished look perfect (as does all of the work he performed for us).  I honestly think the finish is superior to the factor finish they had when purchased new.  He refinished several pieces of bedroom furniture to our specifications, changing muliple pieces from a dated light stain to a modern and durable white finish.  As requested, he darkened the stain on an armoire, cedar chest, and picture frame, making each look like they were just purchased.  Without refinishing, these pieces looked quite dated.

Besides providing quality work, Heath Refinishing was responsive throughout the process, provided great insight and suggestions as we planned the work to be performed, and completed the project when promised.  The pricing of the work is not cheap but consistent with the quality of the end product.  I highly recommend you consider contacting Steven Heath before you trash a sturdy piece of furniture just because it looks dated.  Although our projects did not require any structural repairs, I am confident Steven is up to the task and that in the unlikely event he is not, he will tell you (as he did when I inquired about possibly performing certain leather repair).

I had not met or otherwise heard much about Steven before he took on our several projects, and somewhat questioned the wisdom of engaging him in so many projects without seeing his work first hand.  My judge of his professionalism and craftsmanship were on the mark and I have no regrets of any kind.  Actually, we look forward to working with Heath Refinishing again, and have some additional smaller projects already in mind.

I called Steven to see if he could repair the bed rail for my four-poster bed split  where the metal hinge holds up the mattress.  I searched Angie's List and found Heath Refinishing.  I also saw some pictures of his, in particular an old secretary and chair that he refinished.
I called Steven and described my problem.  He gave me an estimate of what it would cost and I immediately set up a date to take the rail to him.  Because I'm outside of his delivery area, I told him that I would deliver the pick up the rail myself.
My daughter and I  drove to Frisco to pick up the rail when Steven called to say it was finished.  It was actually a straight shot since I live in Garland close the the George Bush Tollway.  He was very accommodating because I wasn't able to get to him before 7 PM.  The bed rail looked great.  He showed me what he had done to make the repair.   I was very pleased with the finished piece.
I have an old secretary desk that is probably 60 years old and want to have it refinished.  I took pictures of my desk to show to Steven.  He has given me an approximate estimate of the cost.  I'm going to set up a date to have my desk refinished.

I asked for a quote online, using Steven's site (I uploaded pictures of both pieces of furniture), then he called me a couple of hours later with an approximate price. After about a week, I had my furniture back in the house, looking like new.

I had Heath Refinishing completely refinish an old trunk that has been passed down through many generations in my family. The trunk was my great grand father's from when his family immigrated to America from overseas, so you can imagine the sentimental value attached to this piece. The trunk was in horrible shape when I brought it to Heath Refinishing. Steven, the owner, quoted me a fair price for the amount of work they had to put into the trunk. Steven was friendly and took the time to walk me through the process of refinishing the trunk. After shopping around for a refinishing company, I felt confident that Heath Refinishing could be trusted with this job. When I got the piece back, I could not believe I was looking at the same trunk. Heath Refinishing was able to restore the trunk to it's original color (who knew a color was hidden underneath rust and decades of dirt). I highly recommend this company for any of your furniture needs!
