Excellent in knowing exactly what we had at home and needed for installation. Logs were installed a day or two after we picked them out and work great.

I did some research on gas logs but still had some questions.  The owner and one of his employees patiently answered everything, explained the different options and their pros/cons, and never tried to push a sale...much less an expensive one.  They were patient with us looking around after they explained everything and we never felt rushed or pressured.  We weren't necessarily intending on making a purchase that day but their help, as well as an offer to extend a sale that had expired a few days earlier, made me feel confident in giving them our business.
We had them install the logs which they also didn't try to push on us.  In fact the employee had even explained that it was relatively simple to install myself, but I preferred to have them do the work given that gas is involved.  They were able to schedule the install for a few days after the sale.  Their installer was very prompt, he worked quickly, and he explained everything to me.  He was in and out in 30 minutes, but wasn't rushing through the install, and he carted off the boxes and trash when he left.  The logs look and work great.
I would definitely recommend Flames; from the owner who was out in the showroom and spoke with us and thanked us for the business, to the employee who took the time to explain and answer questions, to the installer who was prompt and did great work.  A very pleasant experience all the way around.

Great customer service at the store, walking me through all the options and helped me pick out the right logs. They showed up to install them when they said they would and did an awesome job!

They did a wonderful job. One technician came out and completed the job in about 4 hours. He was very helpful and great at explaining everything well. He was fastidious about cleaning up after himself and did a first rate job. The owner, Mike, did a great job at communicating with us about the service and kept us in the loop. I have recommended them to several friends.

When we moved into this house, it had a fireplace with gas logs. We had two companies out over the past 3 years because of carbonization depositing soot in the house. Each one cleaned the logs, shuffled the setup and put new "embers" down, and said "That should fix it." We saw this business next to a restaurant where we were eating and dropped by to talk with Mike, the owner of Flames, who listened carefully and said it sounded like the logs were too large for the fireplace and the gas supply to them was incorrect.
We chose to "start all over," and purchased a set of gas logs (his least expensive set) and all that went with them. When the old ones were removed, the installer (Butch) confirmed that the gas supply was an iron pipe with holes in the top (should be in the bottom) and no regulator to cut back the pressure. The logs we had were too large for the fireplace. In other words, Mike was right. The new logs look great, draft beautifully, and so far there's been no soot problem.
This is a new business owned by a man with years of experience in the field. He appears to be honest and straightforward, doesn't try to upsell or "snow" his customers.
