The company owners were very friendly and in dealing with them they seemed to truly know their business. We checked out other general contractors, but this company seemed to really match what we were trying to do. From the beginning, getting them to return calls was like pulling teeth. I had to actually tell the owner that I expected return phone calls and emails. The roof addition, a flat roof, (suggested by the owner of the company to save money) was built first and then the brick pizza oven. We were assured that it would have enough pitch to drain properly and it would look great. The roof was put together really quickly, but it looked good. They unfortunately cut a hole for the pizza oven chimney in the wrong place, but that was easily remedied. The masonry work on the brick oven was slow, but the workers were punctual and did good work. The pizza oven is gorgeous. After the oven was finished, after several days (five to be exact) of being promised by the owner that the roofers would come out close the chimney hole, they finally came. It's important to note here that the owner stated she would come out a lot and supervise the work. She never did. She only came out when a payment was due. Anyway, the new outdoor living space looked gorgeous. Then it rained. The roof leaked in every imaginable place- in all the seams! We took pictures and called the owner. She was not overly concerned and did not send her men out to repair for several more days. They finally came and we believed it was fixed based on the owner's assurances. Well, rain came again, and the roof is still leaking. We have again been trying to get them to come back out to fix it and as of the date of this submission, no one has come out despite the owner promising daily that they would. Also, the workmanship on top of the roof is very sloppy and shoddy. To add insult to injury, every time the roofers came out they tossed their cigarette butts in our backyard. What a nightmare it has been for us.
Description of Work: We had a wood roof built over our patio and a brick pizza oven built.
