They (EBP) are not members of the BBB, and they apparently got so many bad reviews on Yelp that EBP remains an "unclaimed" business. Had I done this research, I would not have hired EBP. Having said that, I will say that before there were any real challenges, things went well and I gave EBP 2 glowing, 5 star reviews on Angi. I had a friendly and warm business relationship with the pool cleaners also. I found all the staff to be friendly and professional. They kept my pool clean and running smoothly. I must say, however, that even early on that I noticed something a bit odd at times about Mr. Belflower when he and I spoke on the phone. Maybe had I paid more attention to that, I would have realized that this quirk, this psychological rigidity I noticed, might be an indication of a more serious issue. I DID, in fact, later come to find out that Mr. Belflower seems to have difficulties distinguishing what is personal from what is business. The problems began when he failed to send out any email or text or phone "blasts" on the weekend (Friday/Saturday) prior to the predicted power outages and blizzard conditions coming in late Sunday night/early Monday morning February 20th-21st, 2021. Indeed, he failed to send out an email blast until the THURSDAY after the storm hit during the prior weekend and the predicted power outages began in the wee hours of Monday morning! Other companies did send out email blasts to their customers a full 72 hours PRIOR to the first power outages that began around 1am-2am Monday morning. This gave their customers a heads up about steps they might consider taking and what they might expect. After the storm, despite having gotten no heads ups from Mr. Belflower or his staff, before or during the blizzard/power failures, I continued to have EBP do inspection, cleaning, and repair work, paying over $3,200.00 in the first month after the storm in ADDITION to regular weekly pool cleaning....cleaning which, he raised the prices on, not just for new customers, but for ALL customers, including his long time, loyal, senior citizen customers. Nearly all of my pool equipment, essentially, was destroyed. He thought that I should be willing to pay him, upfront, to replace between 6K and 15K worth of destroyed or damaged pool equipment, PLUS, pay his new, higher, weekly cleaning rate of an extra $20 per month. At first, he seemed willing to work out a payment arrangement with me which I would eventually (within 2-7 months) pay for in full. (I would have, of course, continued the weekly pool cleanings, which cost between $196.00 and $246.00 per month, depending upon how many weeks are in the month.) I also offered to pay in monthly installments of between $50-$150 until which time I would pay the remaining balance of between $1,000-$1,850, or whatever the repairs came to within reason. As more and more problems occurred and it became more and more clear that essentially, I would need to basically "start over" with new pool equipment, my discussions with Mr. Belflower became contentious. Rather than looking at the big picture and realizing the value in keeping a long time customer happy, he became personally vindictive and rigid and unwilling to see the good business approach to resolving the conflict, instead, trying to bill me for every nickel and dime he could squeeze out of me, taking no responsibility for any of the problems, and accusing me of falsehoods. I had been an excellent customer for years...at least 3-4 years....and he began treating me as though I was somehow his personal "enemy". He was unwilling to bend at all which, at least for the past half century that I have been doing business, is not a sign of a good business man. Again, this has to do with the rigidity of mindset I noticed in him early on but unwisely chose to overlook. Later, after EBP and I parted ways, I found proof that both he and his staff made mistakes on invoices, mistakes that cost me time and aggravation, and that they made false and misleading statements about whether my pool heater could be repaired (less than $300) or if it was totally destroyed ($3,600.00) by the blizzard/ERCOT debacle in February 2021. I have learned that if there is a bit of odd behavior on the part of a business owner early on, do not ignore it! It could be an indicator of serious potential business conflicts down the road. If you can, hire a new company, or, at the very least, do some research on places such as Angi, the BBB, Yelp, Google reviews, and even court records. If things in the world weather-wise and power-wise are not unusual but are as expected, EBP will do a fine job. But, once a challenge presents itself, all EBP cares about is their profits. Their slogan, "Worry free pool service for busy people" is a misnomer. Instead, they should say, "We will keep your pool clean but you, the owner, should have the equivalent of a Ph.D. in pool mechanics, technology, plumbing, and engineering", because when challenges occur, EBP and its owner, Brian Belflower, will take no responsibility." (I copied and pasted this from another review site, but, here it is.)

Average. I’ve got to call about every 2months to improve their service. Basically they need to always improve on cleaning of the walls. Always algae growing in the walls that always overlooked.

They broke our pool equipment, caused pool to lose all water (more than once) and refused to fix it.
Response from Executive Blue Pools

"Here is the actual truth. Unfortunately this customer has multiple leaks in his pool and refuses to repair the problems. We discontinued our weekly pool maintenance at his home because we repeatedly asked the customer to take care of these issues and he was constantly unwilling to do so. He is blaming our company for issues with his pool that are actually his own fault. We took care of his pool and a professional Men are doing everything we should do."

Executive Blue Pools is top notch! I just got first pool and they have helped me learn about it, how to maintain it and how to run it. They also did an amazing job on a wicked dirty DE filter! Super helpful, friendly, personable and affordable! They came out immediately and didn’t leave until I was completely satisfied.

They do a great job of cleaning the pool each week. Absolutely no complaints from me. They are about our 3rd or 4th company over a span of 16 years and they are the best. We recently had them replace the old and broken concrete pad under the pool heater and pump. They did a great job. They had to completely take apart the equipment, reset it and lengthen the gas line. They were timely and offered to put some rock and border around it, but we had landscapers scheduled to come out to do some work including that. Otherwise, I would have taken them up on it. The cost I am listing does not include the monthly cleaning.

I have been trying to reach someone by leaving phone and email messages for over 3 weeks, and have yet to get a response. I am paying $15 more per month because a "neighbor" referred them, and have regretted it ever since. The tech has not been brushing the walls, cleaning the skimmers, or netting the surface of the pool, which was part of the agreement. I'm confident that he has not been administering chemicals because my pool water is starting to turn. Furthermore, they drafted a month in advance from my bank account without ever telling me they were going to, nor did they get my authorization to do so. I've also requested a call about that and it's been nothing but complete silence. A grand total of three weeks is how long I've been using them and all three weeks have been a disappointing experience. Horrible service, horrible customer service, and horrible professionalism.
Response from Executive Blue Pools

"This person was a customer for approximately one week! His expectations were clearly unrealistic. Our team did return phone calls and he did not reach back out to us. Please know that his comments are untrue and unfounded."

Seem to suffer from high turnover. For the second time, my pool is covered in algae because there is no chlorine in it. Brian tried tk tell me that i needed ti run my pool more, but i run it 22 hours a day. I checked the chlorinator and it was completley empty. Tested the water and there was zero chlorine in it. One of my filter baskets hasnt been cleaned in what looks like months. Texted and called Brian repeatedly to get someone over to at least put chlorine in. He reads the texts, but he won’t respond or answer his phone.
Response from Executive Blue Pools

"Unfortunately this customer refuse to get several repairs done that were recommended to him. The pool was not running during the recommended times. This customer shares in the responsibility of the problems with his pool. We are very apologetic that we were not able to satisfy actually service this pool. We wish this customer best of luck."
