 + -1 moreThe experience went very well. We presented Brenda with several challenges but she remained unphased. Our challenges were not wanting to spend a lot on new furnishings because we downsized and needed to remove many existing pieces that didn't fit but yet buy some new items that did fit. Brenda had to work with existing colors and introduce fabrics to coordinate and update the look. She had to work with existing furniture and introduce new pieces to coordinate. I think the one thing that sets Brenda apart from other decorators was that she really listened to what I said. From that she could glean the end result I was looking for when even I didn't know what it was. I never felt like she was forcing anything. The end result is a house that reflects my family's personality.
Description of Work: I initially hired Brenda to consult on paint color choices for my new home. Brenda set us up with an excellent painter who painted and retextured several rooms. After paint Brenda brought in her fabrics person to help us coordinate with and add to existing fabrics in the home. She collaborated with the fabric person to make the fabric selections. This included having pillows, bedding, upholstery and draperies made. She also helped us purchase furniture, a rug and accessories. She is a decorative painter as well, so she painted some furniture for us giving it a custom look. I didn't list the project cost because we completed several projects over the course of several months. Brenda's consulting fee is $75/hr.
