Chuck's Custom Upholstery

After reading reviews and meeting with Chuck we were very excited and optimistic about turning our furniture over to him. Chuck was very pleasant thru the process. On the day of delivery we had a family emergency and were rushed to get everything settled. Upon returning home we first noticed the looks of the sofa had changed from a warm, inviting, comfortable(albeit warn) sofa to a cold, very square, flat, uncomfortable sofa. The antique fainting couch had been changed from a 1 piece cushion to a 2 piece cushion(it looks ok but this was not discussed), this has been in my family for several generations so to see it changed was concerning. The armchair with ottoman appears to be what we expected on a simple recover. A call was made to Chuck the next business day to express our concerns and discuss options to see if anything could be done, he wound up yelling and prematurely ending the call. We spent a lot of money to have nice furniture refinished, in return we expected the end result to be something we could enjoy for many years. Based on the conversation with Chuck we will have to settle for what we received and look for a replacement once we can recoupe the cost of this work. The photos attached are the before(a few years ago) and after for the sofa($1,270+$350 in fabric), fainting couch($500+150 in fabric), and the chair/ottoman(after pic only $450+300 in fabric). In total we spent over $3,000 on this furniture, a premium price and premium results were expected.

Chuck is great, he is always fast and efficient and affordable! I have used him several time.... CLEANEST upholstery workshop I have ever been in :)

Chuck did a great job! His work is outstanding and he is professional, kind and courteous. He picked the chair up and delivered it back to me in a reasonable time frame and his pricing is fair. I am very particular but would highly recommend him for any upholstery needs.

The couch I wanted reupholstered is quite old, maybe 80-100 yrs, and I was concerned about care being taken with it.  Chuck brought me the couch this a.m.  I'm very happy with the results.  The fabric I used had a paisley print and he did a wonderful job matching the pattern.

I took the 5 cushions to Chuck's workshop on Tuesday.  I picked up the refurbished cushions this morning.  They look amazing and the sofas look like new.  Chuck was very professional and courteous.  I would definitely use him again.

I am a designer and am pretty particular about upholstery -- seams, cording, nap direction, pattern matching, etc.  Chuck did an outstanding job reupholstering our sectional.  He is very helpful, responsive and knowledgable.  The only thing that would keep me from using him for every upholstery job (personal or for clients) is the long wait list.  If you have months to plan, Chuck is the guy for you!

Everything looks great! They even worked on the frame of my couches to secure them better. We purchased fabric, Chuck picked up and delivered. Only issue is he is so popular, you may have to wait a few months to get the work done (but it is worth the wait). Overall, my husband and I are very pleased!

It was a wonderful experience.  It was fantastic and he was wonderful.  We are going to go back sometime in the next year as we have some chairs that we want to have refinished.  Once we have the extra money we are going to go back to him and I’m going to drive three and a half hours to have him do the work.  He made the cushions just beautiful.  There was nothing we could replace.  We had them all remade; so it was great.  His estimate was accurate and he did the work.  It was beautiful work.  I have been sewing my whole life, so I am really picky and it was beautiful.  It was just very professional.  It was done in a very timely manner.  His facility was clean.  He was very friendly and I just had a great experience.  He is awesome.  He is really good.

I had used Chuck to reupholster two other chairs, so when I wanted this chair reupholstered, Chuck was the man I wanted to use.  He is really busy so I had to schedule two months in advance.  Since I was in no big hurry, that was fine.  Chuck picked up my chair and ottoman mid September, and estimated 6 weeks to complete.  Chuck re-wrapped the cushions and upholstered the chair & ottoman.  The chair looks great!  I am so happy with the work Chuck has done.  His prices are very, very reasonable.  I'd use him again in an instant.

Chuck recovered a chair, love seat, sofa, ottoman and made matching pillows. His work is flawless and his customer service couldn't be better. I had to wait until he had room in his schedule for my job - it was worth the wait! I plan on using his services again when I redecorate another room.

He made several suggestions about places where I could pick out fabric at a reasonable cost. He suggested I get 7 yds. of material which turned out to be 1 1/2 yds. more than he needed. (He hadn't seen the chair when he recommended the amount of yardage.)Before he recovered the chair, I knew costs for pick-up and delivery, replacement of the seat cushion, if necessary and the cost to recover the chair.

I contacted Chuck in mid-October and got on his list for the first of January.  He contacted me in early January as promised, promptly picked up my furniture and fabric and delivered in 3 weeks, just as he said.  He did an amazing job.  One of my fabrics had a crazy pattern and he was careful to make sure it was centered exactly.  He restuffed the cushions and these chairs look like new.  I couldn't have asked for a better result.

I spoke with Chuck in November and scheduled an appointment for first available which was the middle of January. He was prompt picking up the chair. Chuck made sure he asked all the needed questions before leaving. The chair was ready ahead of his estimated time and delivered at the time arranged. The chair is beautiful and better than new.

I spoke to Chuck and he told me how much fabric to buy and where I could get the best deals on fabric.  He picked up the chair and fabric when he said he would and returned a beautifully finished chair to me.

We called Chuck for a quote last summer and scheduled an appt. for his next available time--first week of November.  He is outstanding to work with and delivered our completed chairs and pillows as promised by Thanksgiving.  Furthermore, his workmanship and professionalism throughout the entire process are remarkable--our furniture is gorgeous!!!  We highly recommend choosing Chuck Broerman--you will not be disappointed!  Be sure to schedule long before you actually need your pieces completed.  He is VERY popular and with good reason.  Thanks again, Chuck!
