"This is really difficult to read, yes, we agree to almost everything said above. And we take comments very seriously, but an F? Not a C or a B? An F? We did make sure the plaster and heater job were done quickly and on time, for a fair price, and we have before and after pictures and the plaster looks amazing. As for the heater, we installed it correctly, on time, for the price we said we would do it for. The gas meter was not our issue (it was the pre-existing gas meter) The home owner did not know a plumber to call. The plumber is not a direct employee of ours, or even a regular subcontractor for us, we had to call around until we found someone that would do the work in that area of town. , we had to call him several times to get him to go back and get the permit and get it installed correctly, but we did everything we said we would do, for the price we said we would do it for. Sad that no matter what you do..there are just some people you can't please. We try, we really do, but there are some things that are just out of our control."
"So we did some investigating and learned that what this customer described actually happened .. As a result we had to let one of our employees go .( due to this event and a few others) That is how seriously we take our customer service and our reviews . If you notice the customer was extremely satisfied at the speed price and competency of our heater installation but sadly one of our weekly service employees dropped the ball a few times and we had to make some changes . Once again thank you for the honest and timely feedback and we are so sorry that this happened . Please also keep in mind that we do between 10 to 15 service calls a day and take care of between 75-100 weekly service customers a week. Once this was brought to our attention we took the actions that we felt were necessary .. We would ask the others recognize this and continue to give us the opportunity to take care of our customers with the quality and customer service they deserve!!"
"This is why we love Angie's List! this is great feedback, and we appreciate it! As a result,we have looked into things and talked with Cody, and this is what we learned. After we repaired the leak, she let us know she thought her pool pump was out. Cody went back over there and discovered there was just a short in the main circuit board, we were able to get the pump running again, and we did not charge her. Apparently there was something else that she wanted done that did not make it on to the service schedule , she texted Cody and said that something else was wrong he went by a couple of times and could not get in the back yard, and it did not get placed back on the schedule to be taken care of. Thank you for the feedback, as always, we will work to improve in every way we can. else w"
Before departing, Chad explained the operation of the new pool heater, warranty, etc. and answered any questions we had about the pool and the equipment in general, most of which were not even related to the work he came to do!
He also did not "nickel and dime" us, performing the other minor repairs (replacing leaky pipe, pipe section, etc.) without any additional charges.
Having experienced what other pool repair companies are like (this is our fourth pool), this company "The Pool Scrubbers" is a real gem! HIGHLY recommend - we will be using them for all future work.
Chad showed up on time and had the replacement part. Installed it quickly and ensured it was working properly. Then he resolved the issue that caused my last motor to burn up. I really appreciate his promptness and efficiency.
So we hired them to do weekly service. It went well at first but not so much recently. Pool water quality seemed worse. I finally took some to Leslie's for analysis. I had zero conditioner, high phosphates and high pH. The pool was not being swept, and I finally caught them out when I stayed home on the day of normal service. I got the usual "everything is OK" text, but they never showed up that day. Now my pool has algae, I am going to drain the pool and refill to get water chemistry back to normal. My salt cell has been not working and Pool Scubbers did not have the knowledge to find this out and inform me. HAte to write this, becasue Matt is a stad up guy, but his new partners don't have a clue.
"Always two sides to every story...sorry [member name removed] was not satisfied, and we feel the need to address the comment that "the new partners don't have a clue" Chad and Linda Setzer have been partners and running the day to day operations of The Pool Scrubbers LLC since January 2013 (Matt no longer works in the field due to the illness and passing of his wife) . Chad has over 25 years of experience with pools and is capable of repairing and replacing every single part on a pool and runs almost every aspect of the field work. Cody is our lead pool cleaner and part time service tech is a certified pool operator with Galveston County and has 5 years experience. We take care of about 70 pools a week (weekly service) and do over 500 service calls and 50 romodel projects a year. So clearly we must have a clue about what we are doing. We are not perfect, we make mistakes, but strive to correct them and make our customers happy. Lastly although [member name removed] is not to he easiest person to deal with he has a right to expect excellent service. We are sorry we did not live up to those expectations and will miss having them as a customer. We will use this review as constructive criticism and strive to do better."
