Heating and Air Conditioning Service
Did not pull a permit from city which is illegal. Had subcontractors do the install which he did not tell me about beforehand. Did not do many other things that most ac people say are standard: no new disconnect switch, drain pan or or plenum.
On yearly maintenance of older system, said I needed freon and I said how much. He said he could not tell til afterward. So he puts it all in (6 pounds) and charges me $600. I said you should have stopped at 2 pounds when you could see it was going to take many more pounds thus indicating a major leak in the system and given its 10 year age, a new replacement system was the smart call. Similarly, I asked his secretary to have him come and give me an estimate to fix the leak. He shows up and does his testing for a leak and trys to charge me $125 when I knew where the leak was.
