"So sorry for any miscommunications. Quotes are typically done thru over the phone and with pictures. There are variables that may not have been known or realized that can change the quote. We usually discuss these possibilities when we give the quote. I'm sorry if we weren't clear, but just so you know... the quotes also go down in a lot of cases using the same variables. This is when things started going awry. The technician told me at first that it would take about 7 business days to get the new one in. I waited 10 before calling them the first time, all the while with a temporary glass pane in my front door?held in only by tape. The woman on the phone said someone would call me back?no one did. I called again the next day, rather frustrated and again she said someone would call me back. This time, someone did. They said that they had somehow lost the mold they took and would have to come out to take a new one, which they couldn't do for a few days. So now we're over 2 weeks deep and they still haven't fixed the third panel. They came back and took another mold. It was at this time that I pressed them that they were going to front the money to have the panel rush ordered?at first they hesitated but then finally said that they would. However, I think that was bull because I again waited 7 business days and called them, they said they were expecting it any day now. Once they finally got the peice in they scheduled a time to come back out and put it in. They apologized profusely for the service, which they should! It took over SIX WEEKS to get 3 panels replaced. They offered a partial refund and said the check would be in the mail soon.
Well, I wait 2 weeks and a check hasn't arrived. I call, asking where it is, and the lady says no one has even written the check. She said she'll take care of it, and that it would go out that day. I got it a few days later. So now we're talking over 8 weeks from the initial service appointment and I finally get the check?for a measly $45. It amounts to a 12% discount, which is a little low considering that 1/3 of the project was held up for over 6 weeks. They should have at least given me that panel for free?which would have been over $100.
All in all, while the technicians are kind and knowledgeable, the front office is highly disorganized and extremely unprofessional. I would avoid.

In regards to cost, Mainline Glass' price actually seems competitive; it's simply unfortunate that a small replacement part is such an expensive job.
